Rumors have swirled for months. Today, Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher finally confirmed what many suspected: They’ve filed for divorce. Cohan and Fisher posted a joint Instagram statement: “After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023, we jointly filed to end our marriage. We have always prioritized our privacy and have been quietly working through this change.” A photo of the pair in white tennis outfits accompanied the announcement.

The rumors ramped up when Fisher attended the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscars Party alone. The prior year, the couple had appeared in good spirits as they laughed together at the famous bash.

BBC presenter Martine Croxall has been taken off air by the BBC after her “gleeful” reaction to the news that Boris Johnson was pulling out of the Conservative leadership race, according to reports.
The broadcaster was leading the BBC News channel’s review of the newspapers, The Papers, a few minutes after Johnson quit the race on Sunday (23 October), and she introduced viewers to the show with the words: “Am I allowed to be this gleeful? Well, I am!”
According to a report in The Telegraph, BBC bosses have now taken Croxall off air for an undefined amount of time.
A spokesman told the publication: “BBC News is urgently reviewing last night’s edition of The Papers on the News channel for a potential breach of impartiality.
“It is imperative that we maintain the highest editorial standards.”
The statement added: “We have processes in place to uphold our standards, and these processes have been activated.

The BBC has been told that it can no longer shy away from implementing the worst of its £1 billion ($1.4B) cost-savings plan as it faces a perfect storm of pressures, including falling income, declining audiences, and intense pressure from deep-pocketed rivals.
A bleak report by UK public spending watchdog, the National Audit Office (Nao), said the BBC has “delayed making what it considered to be the most challenging aspect of its savings” in recent years, including slashing jobs and cutting content.
While the Nao noted that the BBC had made “progress on delivering savings,” realizing £618 million of its overall target, the watchdog warned that the worst is yet to come. It pointed to the BBC delaying redundancies in its news, and nations and regions units, while at the same time total headcount has risen 7% over the past four years.

Keep your family close and your secrets closer. Kino Lorber has revealed the first trailer for Simon Stone's indie drama The Daughter, inspired by one of Henrik Ibsen's plays. The story is about a man who returns home to discover a long-buried family secret, and when he tries to make things better he threatens the lives of those he left years before. The daughter in the title is played by Odessa Young, and she comes to play an important part in the story as well. The film stars Sam Neill and Geoffrey Rush, as well as Ewen Leslie, Paul Schneider, Miranda Otto, Anna Torv and Gareth Davies. This seems to be another one of these return-home and find out everything is not alright with the family dramas, with some moody filmmaking. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Simon Stone's The Daughter, direct from YouTube: Set in...
