The last of the five episodes of “American Idol” dedicated to the auditions airs March 18 on ABC. The network has given us a sneak peek at the dozen artists we will see competing on Monday night. They are all hoping to sound good enough to judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie that they get a ticket to Hollywood. That’s where they’ll compete to make the Top 40. We’ve done some digging and know which of them made the cut as well as the results of how they fared in that make-or-break round. Spoilers ahead.
At the end of January, the Top 40 travelled to the Aulani Resort, a luxury hotel owned, as is ABC, by Disney. There, each of them sang again for the judges and just 20 of them were put through to the next round. That episode will air on March 31.
The Top 20 were split into two groups.
