A leak suggests that Marvel's Avengers game will offer single and multiplayer gameplay, customizable heroes, and cinematic storytelling
Square Enix isn't hosting its E3 2019 presentation until Monday, but it looks like some hefty information regarding its mysterious Avengers Project Marvel game has come to light.
A bit of background info before we get into it: this is a game that has been in development since at least January 2017, with very few details shared in between the first announcement and now. Square Enix is set to publish it, and Crystal Dynamics is heading development with the help of Eidos Montreal. We expect the game to launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
The source of today's story is the official E3 website, where a fairly detailed description of this new Avengers game was posted as part of a listing for an interactive panel that is set to...

If you’ve been around long enough, then you probably remember how licensed video games haven’t always had the greatest track record – especially when it comes to the superhero genre. Fortunately, there have been exceptions to the rule, as the likes of X-Men Legends, Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Batman: Arkham Asylum really helped turn the tide.
Now, with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes tearing up the box office, one would think gamers would like to step into their shoes for a new interactive experience. Thankfully, the long-gestating Marvel’s Avengers from Square Enix will soon see the light of day, as this updated E3 Coliseum description has surfaced online and lets us know what to expect:
“Embrace your powers and join key members of the development team at Crystal Dynamics and the creative team at Marvel Games as they talk exclusively about the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers. This is the...

The nominations for the Game Awards have been revealed and it should come to a surprise by no one that Nintendo is leading the way in nominations this year! Here are all the nominations and how to vote!
On December 7, 2017, 2017's video games, their studios, and the people who play them will be honored during The Game Awards 2017, hosted by Geoff Keighley. This year's event should have the gaming world buzzing, as Nintendo is finally in the limelight with about 24 nominations. No other studio can hold that distinction, but Nintendo. It's a long time coming for the once-booming company. The uptick can be attributed to their brand new system, the Nintendo Switch, that has changed the way the world games, as well as the way Nintendo develops.
Video games' biggest night is always a great time to reflect on the best games of the year, but it's also a huge night for reveals.

It's been nearly a week, but we're still playing catch up with some of the panels and content from San Diego Comic-Con. If you missed it, Ubisoft was there with a panel spotlighting "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag," looking into the October sequel.
Moderator Andrea Rene led this chat with "Assassin's Creed IV" lead writer Darby McDevitt, and Brenden Fletcher who's writing the "Assassin's Creed: Brahman" comic. Todd McFarlane, who provided the special edition art for "Assassin's Creed IV" was there, too along with the actor playing Edward Kenway, the game's hero, Matt Ryan.
"Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" will be available on October 29th.

Dancing, superheroes, and assassination mark Ubi's big San Diego lineup this week.
If Connor's not a playable character in Just Dance 4... look, it's a missed opportunity, is what I'm saying here.
Body movin' killers aside, if you want to check out the newest Assassin's Creed, it'll be on the San Diego Comic-Con show floor at Ubisoft's booth (#5345). Likewise, you can head over to the Marvel booth (#2329) to check out Ubisoft's Diablo-like Marvel Avengers Battle For Earth. Sony (booth #4237) and Lionsgate (booth #4035) both will be demoing the upcoming Expendables 2 downloadable title, or you can shake your moneymaker with Ubisoft's money maker Just Dance 4 at the Nintendo Lounge located at the Marriott across the street from the Convention center.
Ubisoft will also have two panels at the show which are detailed below. If you don't get some hands-on time with Assassin's Creed III on the show floor, at least check out the...
