Jason Kelce showed up to WrestleMania 40 and showed his chops off in the ring alongside his Philadelphia Eagles teammate Lane Johnson. The two were a testosterone tag-team made in heaven. Is Jason signaling that he’s making a career move?
By the way, at one point Jason was referred to as Taylor Swift’s “brother-in-law.” More on that in a minute.
Jason Kelce – Starred In WrestleMania 40
Going from the NFL to WWE would be a cakewalk for the muscle-bound girl dad. No more Tush Push on astroturf, just some fake pratfalls on a springy canvas!

Welcome to this review of night one of WWE’s Wrestlemania 40 pay-per-view which came live from Philadelphia. Let’s see what went down on Saturday’s show…
Match 1: Women’s World Championship – Rhea Ripley def. Becky Lynch The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Women’s World Championship will remain with Rhea Ripley as Mami defeated The Man to kick off WrestleMania Xl Saturday. Ripley was on a mission not to just defeat Becky Lynch, but humiliate her with an incredible strength advantage. Ever the fighter, Lynch refused to be dominated, battling back in typical Lasskicker fashion. The Man finally gained the upper hand thanks to her resiliency, punctuated by a huge leg drop to the back of the champion’s head, but the power of Ripley allowed her to dump the challenger on her head. Lynch managed to lock in the Dis-arm-her on the injured elbow of Mami,...

A controversial education bill passed in a Florida House vote on Friday. One Republican lawmaker used the opportunity to wonder why educators don’t talk about how some slaves were paid for their labor.
The bill, known as Cs/Hb 1291, would ban teacher preparation programs and similar courses that teach “identity politics … or [are] based on theories that systemic racism, sexism, oppression, and privilege are inherent in the institutions of the United States.”
During debate over the bill, state Rep. Alex Andrade (R) forcefully argued the point that some slaves were paid.

The WWE alumni’s contract with All Elite Wrestling has come to an end. Anyone who’s paid attention to the backstage drama with the former Nxt Champion knows that Andrade leaving the company is not a shocking prospect. Andrade has just never clicked in the Aew setting. Though to be fair, the 34-year-old has never really been given the tools to be elevated beyond mid-card status. Dave Meltzer states that Andrade will end up back in Cmll. However, there is mention that there’s a possibility that he could make his way into WWE again. Given that his wife, Charlotte Flair, is...

A new pair of Jane Doe plaintiffs filed a lawsuit Friday claiming pop star Gloria Trevi helped procure vulnerable teens for her ex-manager Sergio Andrade and “eagerly” perpetuated his sadistic sex cult, allegedly threatening suicide if they didn’t submit.
According to the 98-page complaint obtained by Rolling Stone, Trevi and her co-defendant Mary Boquitas recruited the women into Andrade’s orbit knowing the horror that awaited them – and that Trevi pressured the plaintiffs to submit to Andrade’s sexual abuse or face repercussions. First landing on our radar with the award-winning 499, Mexican-American director Rodrigo Reyes is back with Sansón and Me, a documentary that follows a migrant caught at the intersection of mass incarceration and immigration. Winner of the Best Film Award at Sheffield Doc Fest, the film will arrive via Cinema Guild, beginning at Bam on March 3 and expanding on March 10. Ahead of the theatrical run, we’re pleased to exclusively debut the first trailer.
A decade in the making, Sansón and Me is set between Californian prisons and coastal Mexico. The project began when Reyes was working as a court interpreter in rural California for the then 19-year-old undocumented Mexican migrant Sansón Noé Andrade, who was sentenced to two life sentences without parole in Pelican Bay State Prison. Through letters and visits, Andrade shared his story with Reyes. Unable to film inside the prison, the tale is told through dramatic reenactments...

Nearly two decades after a judge abruptly cleared pop diva Gloria Trevi of charges she lured minors into a secret sex ring in Mexico, the singer is facing a new civil lawsuit in Los Angeles that revives claims she procured underage girls for her ex-producer Sergio Andrade.

An unlikely big-wave surfer takes on Portugal’s Nazaré in a courageous bid to equal her inner turmoil in this candid portrait of an abuse survivor
You might call it aquatic fallacy: when mountainous waves and heaving white waters seem metaphorical of the ebb and flow of human feelings. That notion is inescapable watching Portuguese big-wave rider Joana Andrade in the pit at the storied Atlantic break Nazaré, thanks to her generosity in what is, for the surfing world, an unusually candid psychological portrait. She shows as much courage sharing her story of childhood abuse and recovery as in tackling a 50ft wave – and the former will mean more to fellow survivors.
A third of the way through Minna Dufton’s documentary, Andrade drops a bombshell: as a 12-year-old she was groomed, drugged and sexually abused by a family friend. There is often a sneaking sense that plenty of damaged...

Andrade El Idolo and Sammy Guevara, two stars of All Elite Wrestling, were reportedly involved in a real-life backstage fight ahead of Wednesday’s (October 5) episode of Aew Dynamite on TBS. According to TMZ, the incident occurred backstage at the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington, D.C., where Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite took place. Words were apparently exchanged before things turned physical, with initial reports stating that Guevara pushed Andrade, who responded by throwing punches. Andrade was allegedly sent home following the altercation. Aew president and CEO Tony Khan revealed on Twitter that Andrade had been removed from a match scheduled to take place this Friday on Aew Rampage on TNT. Guevara, however, remained on the card for Wednesday’s Dynamite, where he wrestled in the show’s main event, teaming with current Ring of Honor World Champion Chris Jericho. Exclusive: Brazilian filmmaker Fernando Grostein Andrade, a social justice and Lbgtq activist in his home nation, has made a documentary Breaking Myths, attacking the policies of Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro.
The film will be released online on September 16, and Andrade hopes to influence the upcoming elections in the south American country, taking place on October 2.
Andrade is based in California, and says he cannot return to Brazil, after receiving death threats and social media bullying for speaking out publicly against the president and his actions on LGBTQ rights, the Amazonian rainforest and other issues. Andrade believes his film might be critical in calling Bolsonaro, whom he calls “the Trump of Brazil”, from being re-elected.
Andrade previously came to global attention with his documentary Breaking the Taboo, a film exploring alternative solutions to the war on drugs, approaching it as a healthcare issue. The doc, which featured interviews with heads of state like Jimmy Carter,...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew: Dynamite, which was broadcast live from the Target Center in Minneapolis, and is a special “Quake By the Lake” episode… We’ve Tony Schiavone, Excalibur, Jr and Taz on commentary, so let’s get to the review!
Match #1: Coffin Match – Darby Allin def. Brody King The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Darby Allin ambushed Brody King out of the darkness before the bell rang! Darby cracked Brody over the back with a skateboard that was lined with thumbtacks. Darby busted Brody wide open with the skateboard to the forehead. Brody King went outside to collect himself and then hurled Darby over the time keeper’s table into the steel guardrail! Darby fired back with an Avalanche Code Red on Brody King, sending Brody back into the ring. Darby tried to pull the deadweight of Brody toward the coffin, but Brody...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the opening salvo in the Aew wrestling week. Once again we’ve got the duo of Tony Schiavone and Mark Henry on commentary this week… Let’s see what the show has to offer!
Match #1: Ruby Soho & Skye Blue def. Nikki Victory & Megan Meyers
My Thoughts: You would’ve expected a squash match here but that’s not what we got. Victory and Meyers instead held their own, for the most part, against Soho and Blue. I really dig Megan Meyers look – the horror fan in me can appreciate another genre fan for sure!
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Parker Boudreaux def. Casey Carrington
My Thoughts: Now This was a squash match! Former Nxt star Parker Boudreaux played the Brock Lesnar card and made short work of Carrington, who only got two hits in before Boudreaux finished him off.

It’s Monday morning, so you know what that means… it’s time for our review of Friday night’s episode of Aew: Rampage, which this week emanated from the Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia. Let’s get to the review!
Match #1: Brody King & Malakai Black def. John Silver & Alex Reynolds The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Reynolds and Black chain wrestled and then Reynolds took down Black with a deep arm drag. Black got a blind tag to Brody and Brody used his bulk to muscle Reynolds into the corner. Reynolds avoided a chop and tagged out to John Silver. Brody King leveled John Silver and then attempted a senton but Silver dodged it and tagged out to Reynolds. Silver and Reynolds blasted Brody with stereo kicks. They sent Brody spilling to the outside after more tandem offense. Brody intercepted a diving Alex Reynolds and then spiked him on the ring apron.

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation which sees the show get back to a longer card, featuring seven matches this week. We’ve got Excalibur, Anthony Ogogo and Mark Henry on commentary and Serena Deeb and Mercedes Martinez re-teaming for more women’s tag action! Let’s get into the review…
Match #1: Serena Deeb and Mercedes Martinez def. Heather Reckless and Tootie Lynn
My Thoughts: Serena Deeb and Mercedes Martinez are re-teaming once again for more tempestuous women’s tag team wrestling. The duo work together on a knife-edge and it has brought an interesting air of tension to their matches so far – and this one’s no different. Like their last pairing, this was an example of an Aew quasi-squash match, with Deeb and Martinez giving Heather Reckless and Tootie Lynn a modicum of space to Try and get some offence in!
My Score:...

There’s an interesting desire to use the manner of filmmaking to reenact and process trauma, especially in the documentary space. In 2012, director Joshua Oppenheimer crafted “The Act of Killing,” a documentary wherein a Khmer Rouge killer re-enacted the murders he participated in. A similar feeling is evoked while watching Rodrigo Reyes’ “Sansón and Me,”
Director Reyes first met Sansón Noe Andrade when he acted as interpreter during the young man’s murder trial. Reyes was captivated by Andrade and, as Andrade spent his life in prison without the possibility of parole, the two started writing letters to each other. Reyes eventually conjured up the idea of a movie, told with Andrade’s family members playing his mother, father, and younger versions of Sansón and his sisters. As Sansón starts to look back on his life, the filmmaker is able to reflect on the cycle of violence and poverty in Mexico.
