By now, I’m sure many of you know to stay after the credits whenever seeing the latest Marvel movie and, likewise, wonder where the heck everyone else is going when they begin to roll. I mean, haven’t people learned their lesson on numerous occasions since the first Iron Man flick debuted back in 2008?
Anyway, beginning in 2018, the House of Ideas intend on implementing a similar flourish in their comic books, specifically involving Wolverine. As you may have heard by now, the 616 Logan that we all love is once again among the living, having returned this fall in the Marvel Legacy one-shot. Still, much mystery surrounds the resurrected icon, particularly why he’s not dead anymore – and how he came into possession of an Infinity Stone.
As for these post-credits scenes – or “backup stories,” as the rest of us having been calling them for decades – the first round will...

Superheroes: fictional characters doing impossible things in implausible costumes. Why is society so fascinated by them, though?
Well, for one, they inspire us, reassure us, and certainly entertain us. They also provide a platform for storytelling that’s epic in scale – often allowing for sweeping sci-fi or historical drama, alongside intimate tales of relationships and familial bonds. As such, it’s hardly surprising that the world of film adopts – and occasionally spawns – so many of these characters as its own.
The potential for these crusaders to draw in audiences has been explored and expanded further than anyone could have imagined back when Superman And The Mole-Men became the first superhero movie to hit cinemas in 1951. Since then, filmmakers have continually mined the realms of comic books, graphic novels, animation, TV, and even conceived their own original creations, all in search of that most elusive of achievements: A good superhero flick.

The hits keep on coming for Marvel’s latest Thor movie. Ahead of its international release, it earned unprecedented acclaim from critics the world over: the most of any Marvel movie to date. In fact, its 96% on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes makes it the highest rated superhero movie of all time: handily beating out Superman, Batman, Spider-Man 2, Iron Man, The Dark Knight, The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Logan and Wonder Woman. When it released to (non-us) theaters this last weekend, it broke box office records in several major markets, taking in a whopping $107 million. That’s a sizable

Are you tired of major comic book publishers spoiling deaths, returns and other significant happenings before anyone has a chance to even read them? Yes? Well, then you must be in space, because nobody can hear your screams.
As you may have guessed (and no thanks to the headline), that proud tradition continues into this week, with the House of Ideas completely blowing the lid off their highly anticipated Marvel Legacy one-shot. Yes, we knew to expect a huge return, but what’s the satisfaction that comes with surprise in comparison to boosting sales?
When recently speaking with ComicBook.com, Marvel editor-in-chief Axel Alonso let the cat out of the bag by saying that Wolverine is returning this week – and he’s bringing an Infinity Stone with him:
“Yes, Logan is back from the dead. After three years of a Logan-free Marvel Universe, Logan is back, claws popped and ready for action.

Comic book movies have delivered some amazing plot twists over the decades. There have been surprising villain switcheroos (e.g. Iron Man, Batman Begins, Captain America: The Winter Soldier), shocking deaths (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Dark Knight, Logan) and revelations that turn the hero’s story on its head (Wonder Woman, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2). All of these examples proved to enhance the story and lift the films up to another level in some way.
Unfortunately though, for every successful plot twist we get, there’s one that just plain stinks. A lot of the time these twists sounded like good ideas on paper but somewhere along the line they were poorly handled. Other times, the ideas were rotten from the beginning and you have to wonder what the filmmakers were thinking when they thought viewers would lap it up. Either way, these awful twists ended up...

Soon after Disney acquired Marvel nearly a decade ago, it became quite noticeable that characters appearing in their movies had begun to take precedence over those who didn’t. Sure, it’s understandable that the likes of Iron Man and Thor be given their due after finding onscreen success, but many of us lamented seeing our favorite mutants being downplayed.
Fortunately, much of that has changed within the past year, most likely because it’s become increasingly hard to overlook the immense popularity of Deadpool and the X-Men. One such endeavor to be spawned from this epiphany is an upcoming crossover co-headlined by some of Fox’s recent box office champions, Deadpool Vs. Old Man Logan.

Saturday Am Update: With an estimated $51.2 million on Friday, Sony's release of Spider-Man: Homecoming is looking at a three-day weekend around $120-125 million. Without adjusting for inflation that would be the second highest opening for a Spider-Man film and around $30 million more than the $91.6 million brought in by The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in 2014. It would also be just behind the $128.1 million Iron Man 2 opened with in 2010 as Spidey is settling in nicely within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film received an "A" CinemaScore from opening day audiences. Get More: Track how Spider-Man: Homecoming compares to the two other Summer 2017 superhero features, Wonder Woman and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Additionally, while Focus's The Beguiled is performing a bit behind our expectations, looking at an $2 million weekend, Amazon and Lionsgate's The Big Sick is looking to over perform after delivering an estimated $1.1 million on Friday, heading toward a weekend...
