Jeremy Clarkson has been suspended by the BBC today after a "fracas" with a producer - leaving everyone enjoying the resurgence of the word "fracas" (except, probably, Jeremy and the unidentified producer).
But the whole brouhaha got us thinking about everyone (and everything) else Jeremy Clarkson has offended over the years. Here is a list of just some of them - but we won't claim it's definitive...
1. A parish council (and its tree).
Never particularly one for nature, Jeremy Clarkson barrelled a Toyota Hilux into a 30-year-old horse chestnut tree to test how strong the car was (the villagers thought it had been an accident - until they saw the episode of Top Gear in question). The BBC ended up paying £250 in compensation to a parish council in Somerset to make up for the damage.
2. Gay people.
Not only did Jeremy once use the phrase "ginger beer" in a derogatory...

Call it locks - of rock - love. One of Mick Jagger's earliest serious girlfriends, who dated him when he was a London student, saved a clump of the rock icon's hair. And now she's giving it away in the nicest way: an auction to help disfigured people, where the clippings brought in $6,000, Rolling Stone reports. Chrissie Shrimpton, sister of the famed '60s-era model Jean Shrimpton, dated Jagger, now 69, in the early '60s, when he was attending the London School of Economics - and long before he became a global rock star. She was 17 when their romance...

A new poll looks at how different groups are portrayed in film.
When you encounter a new character in a film, do you get an instinctive feeling about how they're likely to behave? Are they likely to be a good person or a bad one? A new YouGov poll for facial disfigurement charity Changing Faces reveals how we look at different groups.
"In film, disfigurement is often used as a device to portray evil characteristics," say the charity on their website, pointing to Freddy Krueger and Bond villains as examples. A supporter quoted on their site asks "Why do people in horror films...

Here are our five key scenes from the new "Total Recall" trailer.
Total recall The trailer begins by giving a good sense of the setup of the story, and once Farrell's character, Douglas Quaid, slips into the Rekal machine, that's when all the trouble starts. Probably one of the strongest visual connections to the Paul Verhoeven-Arnold Schwarzenegger original,...
