‘Rwby’ to Crossover With Justice League in Upcoming Feature Film From Rooster Teeth and Warner Bros.
“Rwby” is crossing over with the heroes of DC Comics. A new film spinoff of the popular animated web series has been announced, which will feature characters from the Justice League.
The announcement was made on Friday during Rtx Austin, a convention hosted by digital media company Rooster Teeth. During a panel for “Rwby,” the cast and crew — including writers and directors Kerry Shawcross and Eddy Rivas, supervising producer Laura Yates and voice actors Lindsay Jones, Barbara Dunkelman, Arryn Zech and Kara Eberle — dropped the news for the upcoming film, along with other announcements.
The crossover will be the first film set in the “Rwby” universe and will be animated by the same team as the web series. The film will be produced by Rooster Teeth in partnership with Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The series comes after last year’s “Rwby x Justice League” comic book miniseries,...

Rooster Teeth has some exciting new updates based on its popular Red vs. Blue web series. At Rtx 2015 on August 8, the cast and crew of Red Vs. Blue (RvB) talked about the show’s upcoming fan guide and what season 14 of the web series will look like.
Written by RvB writer Eddy Rivas and Rooster Teeth Cco Burnie Burns, Red vs. Blue: The Ultimate Fan Guide will cover the entire scope of RvB’s history and more. The book will include an official story timeline, explanations of all the maps used to create the web series, character biographies, behind-the-scenes commentaries, and famous quotes from the series. The RvB fan guide will even give “instructions” from characters on how to make well-loved RvB memorabilia (like Sarge’s instructions for building robots).
The RvB team also revealed information about the show’s upcoming fourteenth season, which won’t follow the overarching storyline...

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been waffling about the validity of Hurley’s spectral encounters with the castaway dead and other ghosts on The Island on Lost. Some weeks, I think Hurley is a Ghost Whisperer. Other weeks, like in last Wednesday’s recap of "The Candidate," I’ve speculated that Smokey has been manipulating Hurley by appearing to him as the likes of Charlie, Isabella, and Michael. There now seems to be an official ruling on the matter. In their latest podcast, which you can find many places on the Web including at docarzt.com, exec producers...

Revision3 launched season 2 of their web sitcom Web Zeroes today and friends Nate, Ray, and Alex are still reaching for that allusive internet stardom. They start the season by taking on viral video, which according to their "research assitant", Mulligan, can easilly be acheived following the simple formula: "derivative content + relevant references + humor or special effects = viral videos". But of course, the guys manage to make the simple as unintentionally complicated as possible and hilarity ensures. I had a moment to correspond with Eddy Rivas of Smooth Few Films, who plays Alex on the show, about what we can expect from the new season. "The show has always been about our lives as content creators on the Internet - it's always been a little meta," said Rivas. "Season 2 goes even more meta, and turns into a ridiculous look at creating Web Zeroes itself. Expect the guys to get bigger opportunities,...

Most people equate San Francisco based Revision3 with unscripted, net-friendly hosted web series—Diggnation, TekZilla, Film Riot. Some of the series clock in over the hour mark, firmly rooted in the vein of freeform tech video podcasts. And it's around that techie niche that the company has built out an online network of dedicated fans, and incidentally, loyal sponsors like Netflix and GoDaddy looking to make waves in that scene. But with the launch of its latest series, Web Zeroes, Revision3 is taking the leap into scripted comedy with what it calls its first "sitcom." Truthfully, its closer to an Office-style single-camera comedy, than a multi-camera TV sitcom. The geek comedy was a pickup from indie creators Eddy Rivas, Nick Comardo and Daniel Miller, who together make up Houston-based Smooth Few Films. Their previous series, The Leet World, was a machinima series shot in Counter-Strike: Source. The trio of web...
