Noyce is noted for being an animal rights activist and strict vegetarian.
When writing he often names key characters after family members. In his directorial debut On the Ropes (2011), the characters Keith Kraft (played by Mark Noyce) and Mick Western (Ben Shockley) are named after his uncles and the character Arthur (played by Ben Dover) is after his grandfather.
He has several tattoos, one of his Dog (a Jack Russell named Milo) on his chest, his wife's names on his stomach and a rose on his calf in tribute to his grandmother.
