Best described as an unbalanced sample platter of vapid conservative beliefs, Harold Cronk’s “God Bless the Broken Road” is not concerned with disputing any of the preconceived notions coastal dwellers may have about Middle America, but rather leans into them shamelessly for a Christian drama squarely aimed at women and veterans.
Seemingly inspired by the eponymous song originally released by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in 1994 and further popularized thanks to country group Rascal Flatts in 2005, the faith-based narrative is the latest cash cow from the team that unleashed the vitriolic, Islamophobic and generally disturbing “God’s Not Dead” franchise. Both the original “God’s Not Dead” and its sequel were directed and co-written by Cronk and became bastions of Evangelical propaganda with combined box-offices grosses of over $80 million. He was, however, not directly involved with this year’s much less successful third installment.

Ladainian Tomlinson, the NFL Network analyst and former star running back, will make his feature-film acting debut in a movie based on the country song "Bless the Broken Road," which was first recorded by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and more recently was a hit for Rascal Flatts.
In the film, titled God Bless the Broken Road, Tomlinson plays a pastor trying to help a distressed mom, played by Lindsay Pulsipher, and a disabled war veteran, played by Arthur Cartwright. Jordin Sparks, Kim Delaney, Robin Givens and Madeline Carroll also star.

Two paranoid clips and one snazzy featurette for Brad Anderson’s “be afraid of the dark, be very afraid!” flick “Vanishing on 7th Street”. Oh sure, it stars Hayden Christensen, but you know, he’s kinda redeemed himself for the “Star Wars” prequels in recent years, right? He was pretty good in “Jumper”, for example. Anyways, check out the clips, people who enjoy checking out clips on movie sites. A mysterious and seemingly global blackout causes countless populations to simply vanish, leaving only their clothes and possessions behind. A small handful of survivors — a reporter (Hayden Christensen), a nurse (Thandie Newton), and a subway operator (John Leguizamo) — must band together in a dimly-lit tavern on 7th Street to combat the apocalyptic horror around them. Realizing they may in fact be the last people on earth, the darkness hones in on them. Starring Hayden Christensen, Thandie Newton, John Leguizamo, Taylor Groothuis,...

New pics have come along from Magnolia Pictures' "Vanishing on 7th Street." In general, I like Brad Anderson's films which include Christian Bale starrer "The Machinist" and the intriguing thriller "Transiberian" starring Woody Harrelson and Emily Mortimer, so I'll most likely catch this one at some point. The film opens on February 25th with a cast including Hayden Christensen, Thandie Newton, John Leguizamo, Jordan Trovillion, Taylor Groothuis, Jacob Latimore, Ron Causey and Arthur Cartwright. Anthony Jaswinski ("Killing Time") wrote the screenplay for the film produced by Tove Christensen, Norton Herrick and Celine Rattray. Support the film and join the "Vanishing of 7th Street" group on MovieJungle.com...

Point blank: I’ll watch anything that Brad Anderson releases, which is why I was pretty stoked to learn that Magnet is picking up Us distribution rights for the insanely talented director’s upcoming thriller “Vanishing on 7th Street”. The film, which stars Hayden Christensen, Thandie Newton, John Leguizamo, Taylor Groothuis, Jordan Trovillion, Arthur Cartwright, and Jacob Latimore, chronicles the exploits of a group of individuals who are curious as to what, precisely, happened to the rest of the human population. Apocalyptic tomfoolery ensues. In other words, I’m pumped. Here’s what Anderson had to say about the acquisition: Vanishing on 7th Street is an apocalyptic thriller about the end of the world and it could not be placed in better hands than with Magnet Releasing, whose expertise in distributing genre films is par none, I am excited to be working with them to bring the film to audiences across the country.

Vanishing Movie PosterA release date for Vanishing on 7th Street has not been announced; however, a new trailer for the feature shows characters Luke (Hayden Christensen), Rosemary (Thandie Newton), Paul (John Leguizamo), and Briana (Taylor Groothuis) in a world where most of the population has mysteriously disappeared. This includes airline pilots (think about this for a sec'). These characters struggle to stay away from the darkness and mysterious creatures, who hope to snuff out their light. Have a look at this first trailer for Brad Anderson's ("Fear Itself") Vanishing on 7th Street below.
A synopsis for Vanishing on 7th Street:
