- Greg is the author of the as-yet unreleased book "Trekkin' in the Studios" detailing his exploits working within the entertainment industry, and most notably his experiences working on Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987).
- Greg's parents were told by their doctor that they were going to have a daughter, all the way up to the day of birth, so they had picked the name of "Michelle Rae", after two girlfriends of Wilma's from high school. When Greg was born, they were both at a loss for a male name, and four days later, the head nurse needed to file the certificate of live birth with the county, confronted Wilma about the name. This nurse was a huge fan of actor Gregory Peck, and suggested that name for Wilma's new son, and it was accepted.
