Imagine if high school student Scott Howard from Teen Wolf grew up, became a functioning alcoholic, and got a job as a cop in a small town. Sound interesting? If so, then you might like writer/director Lowell Dean’s film, WolfCop, which premiered earlier this year at the Cannes Film Festival and has just been acquired by Image Entertainment.
Image Entertainment has gained all Us rights to WolfCop, which was presented by CineCoup upon its release. After a positive reception at Cannes, CineCoup in May announced a sequel, revealing that production on WolfCop 2 would begin in the fall with Lowell Dean returning to direct.
“It’s not unusual for alcoholic cop Lou Garou to black out and wake up in unfamiliar surroundings, but lately things have taken a strange turn.
Crime scenes seem oddly familiar. Lou’s senses are heightened, and when the full moon is out, he’s a rage-fueled werewolf.
