Welcome to Paranoia, the ultimate escape game. Rule #1: Nothing is real. Rule #2: One of you will die.
Play or Die follows Lucas (Charley Palmer Rothwell) and Chloe (Roxane Mesquida) who – after some serious persuasion by Chloe – decide to participate in Paranoia, a very exclusive escape game. After solving a first riddle, they make it to the location of the finale in an abandoned mental hospital, lost in a frightening forest. There, four other participants are waiting on them; participants who, after only a couple of rooms into their “adventure,” all soon realize that only one of them will get out of there alive…
Now you’d be forgiven for thinking that Play or Die was inspired by the likes...

Lola (Valerie Pachner) wakes with a start. She has what we’ll soon learn is an uncharacteristic smudge of mascara beneath her too-bright, too-awake eyes. But then this is the Lola of later, not the woman to whom Marie Kreutzer’s nervy, nuanced drama “The Ground Beneath My Feet” first introduces us — not the ambitious, high-performance business consultant, whose only respite from a grueling, high-heels-and-rolling-suitcase lifestyle appears to be a similarly grueling workout regime. Whether sweating ferociously in some anonymous hotel gym, prepping for a 48-hour workday with a morning jog or burning the midnight oil over spreadsheets and data analysis, the ground beneath Lola’s feet is a treadmill.
The absolute order of her life, compartmentalized right down to the borderline psychotic neatness of her underwear drawer, conceals a messy secret: Lola’s older sister, Conny (Pia Hierzegger) is a paranoid schizophrenic who has been hospitalized following a suicide...

Better Call Saul covered a lot of ground this week, but the highlight was getting to spend some quality time with everyone’s favorite grumpy fixer: Mike Ehrmantraut.
The episode opens with a flashback of Mike’s late son Matty as a kid watching his dad pour concrete in the family driveway, and that’s tied to the grief therapy group Mike has been attending since last season. During a diner breakfast with fellow group member Anita (she helps him with his crossword, it’s cute), she mentions wanting to reach out to Henry, another guy in their group. But...

Exclusive: Fox has found an inspired way to tap back into the spirit of one of the studio’s all time grossing comedies, Home Alone. In fact, the new take sounds like a blend of that John Hughes-scripted family film, with the irreverence, hard R rating, and star of Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds is attached to produce Stoned Alone, which is in development at Fox. Augustine Frizzell is set to direct. Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider wrote the script from an idea by Fox exec Matt Reilly.
Stoned Alone is reminiscent of that hallowed comedy classic. It centers around a twenty-something weed growing loser who misses the plane for his holiday ski trip. He makes the best of things by getting high. Paranoia sets in and he believes he hears someone break into his house. Turns out thieves have broken in. Fully stoned and fueled by paranoia, he tries to thwart...

It’s been a week of grief and mourning for Helen (Lyndsy Fonseca) after finding her husband Wells (Noah Bean) dead by suicide at their secluded cabin. She’s dealing with his absence like anyone would by closing off spaces they shared together in hopes of avoiding too many easy triggers for memories that only bring sadness. Work should distract her during the day and Wells’ business partner Tomas (Glenn Morshower) continuing their secretive scientific research should honor his legacy. This doesn’t mean she’ll forget him, forgive him, or stop blaming herself for missing the signs of his pain, but they say life will eventually go on. What they don’t say, however, is that you just might awaken one morning with no recollection of multiple days since you fell asleep.
They don’t because that doesn’t happen in the real world — at least not without the help of some heavy drugs.
