Taipei’s Golden Horse Film Project Promotion (Fpp) has selected 25 titles this year with filmmakers including Tsai Ming Liang, Midi Z, Zhang Ming and Stanley Kwan attached.
The Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival Executive Committee today announced the project market’s line-up selected from 127 submissions from Taiwan, Hong Kong, mainland China, France, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, the UK and Thailand.
This year’s Fpp has 13 feature debuts including A Small Place, produced by auteur filmmaker Tsai Ming Liang and directed by Ong Chao Hong. The story is about two siblings renewing their lives after the death of their father.
Golden Horse Film Academy alumnus Midi Z (Ice Poison) is in the Fpp line-up with The Road To Mandalay. Set in Bangkok, the film follows the loves and lives of bottom-rung illegal immigrants.
