Marshmallow fluff, ladies stitched together from corpses, and sex-crazed rabbit/human hybrids… this can only mean one thing: it’s family game night in the Crypt o’ Xiii! Or it’s time for another batch of revoltin’ reviews… I always get those mixed up, often with hilarious (and litigious) results…

What’s this? A new fright flick that advertises itself as a Gothic horror/psychological thriller inspired by the works of The Brothers Grimm (and just so happens to be set in a cornfield)? This is either going to end up mind-blowing, or just plain blowing (or it could just be mediocre, I suppose). Well, let’s see how corny ol’ Rows gets!

Joonas Makkonen’s Bunny the Killer Thing looks like a ridiculously entertaining film, and that probably says a lot about me as a person. After all, most people probably aren’t immediately drawn to a movie that features an enormous killer rabbit… Continue Reading →

Perverts and malcontents will not have to wait long to see Bunny the Killer Thing. This film, from Finnish director Joonas Makkonen, is set to release in America, early in 2016. Artsploitation will handle the home entertainment release. In the film, a murderous bipedal rabbit is horny for sex and blood. It attacks and destroys a nearby party. And, the film's trailer is one of the best to come out this year. To develop the story further, several friends are taking refuge from the Winter climes, in a remote cabin. A half-man, half-monster invades the cabin's small space. It quickly tears away bras and speaks only one word: "pussy!" To the detriment of the partiers, it begins to kill each member, while using any available orifice for its sick and disturbing pleasures. This politically incorrect film is just what film fans need. With freedom of expression in American colleges in jeopardy...

This autumn Whitby's horror fest featured original horror ideas, such as Romania's first-found footage horror ('Be my Cat: A film for Anne'). It was also a good year for great titles, such as the Finnish 'Bunny the Killer Thing', directed by Joonas Makkonen, and 'Artichokes Piranha from the Prehistoric Abyss', directed by Javier Lozano Sanchez. There was also the world's least expected horror subjects, for a lost glove's owner in Canadian 'Mitten'....

Now a telekinetic kid and and an apocalypse have joined the killer lineup, as both June and JeruZalem will make their U.S. premieres at the festival.

June, starring Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers) and Kennedy Brice (The Walking Dead), tells the story of nine-year-old June (Brice), who has been shuffled in and out of foster homes for years. Though she tries to be good, no matter where she goes a trail of chaos and terror seems to follow.

The Easter Bunny is real and he’s after anything that resembles female genitals.
Every once in a while, a trailer is released for a film and I can’t help but wonder how the filmmakers got it made. Enter Bunny the Killer Thing, a feature length film from writer, director Joonas Makkonen about a half man, half rabbit, that runs around killing Finnish young adults with this large johnson exposed for all to see. Here’s where you roll your eyes, and watch the trailer in order to satisfy your curiosity. Expanded from the short film of the same name, Bunny will screen at Fantasia this summer. Just about every holiday has at least one horror movie based around it, and now Easter has this. Watch the Nsfw trailer below. Enjoy!

The first trailer for Bunny the Killer Thing is here. The film's first trailer almost made this viewer blow coffee all over his computer screen. A second viewing was equally hilarious. Sometimes, horror can still be funny, if campy or over-the-top. That is the case here, with Finland's first bunny killer film. The film's punchline will not be revealed here; instead, readers can see all of the absurdity below. From the story, a strange furry killer lays waste to the Finnish countryside. His motivations are obvious. And, a group of friends are soon to meet this lustful party-crasher. As well, Raven Banner Entertainment is repping this picture. Raven Banner will sell world wide rights for the film. The film will also be released in Europe, this year. Release Date: Tba. Director: Joonas Makkonen. Writers: Joonas Makkonen and Miika J. 2012 appears to be the year for younger, i.e. under 10 years old, underground fests to blow it wide open and go for broke. This time it’s the 4th annual Oakland Underground Film Festival that is expanding its horizons into a blowout four-day, much more densely packed affair, running on Sept. 27-30 at several different locations.
Expanding on the types of films they screen, this year Oakuff is jammed pack with a wide variety of documentaries, thrillers, a bevy of short films and a special tribute to blaxploitation films hosted by BadAzz MoFo’s David Walker.
The fest opens on the 27th with skateboarding filmmaker Stacy Peralta’s latest, Bones Brigade: An Autobiography, which documents his own involvement with California board culture along with peers like Tony Hawk and Rodney Mullen. Following that will be Ya’Ke Smith’s complex drama about the effects of child molestation.
