Exclusive: After more than a decade, Silver Lining Entertainment, the management and production company founded by veterans Jeff Golenberg and Sam Maydew, is dissolving.
Golenberg and fellow Silver Lining partner Jason Shapiro have launched Strand Entertainment, a management and production company based in Los Angeles, bringing most of Silver Lining’s managers with them. Maydew has formed his own management/production company, 734 Media. The split we hear was amicable, with the former partners’ paths diverging, a process accelerated by the pandemic.
Joining Golenberg and Shapiro in their new venture are longtime colleagues Tarik Kanafani, Emily Rifanburg, Kaelyn Hutchins, and Aileen Lewis. Jeff’s brother, manager/producer Rob Golenberg, who was a partner at Silver Lining, has formed GoGi Entertainment, a new production company focused on international productions, with his former assistant Paulina Giron Velasquez. This Blue Beetle article contains spoilers.
At the start of Blue Beetle’s second act, protagonist Jaime Reyes (Xolo Maridueña) asks an important question: “Who the hell was Blue Beetle?”
A lot of viewers wondered the same thing when the Warner Bros. movie came to theaters earlier this year and they’ll likely be asking it again now that the movie is streaming on Max. People don’t ask that same question of Superman, Batman, or Wonder Woman, but not because Blue Beetle is at best a C-lister in the DC Comics bullpen. Rather it’s because the man behind the Blue Beetle mask has changed several times since Charles Nicholas Wojtkoski debuted the character in 1939.
The big-screen adaptation introduces Blue Beetle as Jaime Reyes, who is a recent college grad forced to the superhero identity after receiving an alien scarab from Jenny Kord (Bruna Marquezine), the daughter of inventor Ted Kord,...

Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin are spilling the beans on their upcoming nuptials.
The two made headlines in March after rumours spread that the couple had tied the knot after five years of dating. In a new interview with V Magazine, the two confirmed the rumours to none other than Dylan’s twin, Cole.
Speaking on the topic of having a celebrity relationship in the public eye, Dylan admitted it was a surreal experience.
“There’s a lot of demand from the general public for full transparency. Which is funny to me because no relationship is fully transparent,” said the actor. “This article, particularly, is timed up to the release of our engagement announcement, right? But we got engaged now, how many months ago?”

This article contains The Flash spoilers.
The Flash Season 9 Episode 9
The end is truly nigh. After a handful of more standalone-style “interlude” episodes, The Flash enters its endgame with an hour that brings back old favorites and takes big narrative swings, restoring the multiverse and reminding Barry Allen of why he became a hero in the first place.
Any The Flash episode that features the long-awaited return of Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West, as well as guest appearances from Arrow stars Stephen Amell and David Ramsey, is basically guaranteed to be a must-watch, but “It’s My Party And I’ll Die If I Want To” is a surprisingly emotional installment on top of that, one that offers several characters some much-needed closure and a chance to rededicate themselves to fighting the good fight.
“Honestly, I’m so thrilled that this was the episode I got to direct,” says Danielle Panabaker,...

This week’s long-hyped episode of The Flash opens with a birthday party, but it’s the fans who are getting the big gift: O.G. hero Stephen Amell returns as Oliver Queen…sort of. At Team Flash’s bash for Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), fellow Speedster Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) and old pal John Diggle (David Ramsey) are welcome guests; Season 6 villain Bloodwork (Sendhil Ramamurthy) is not. When a celebratory toast leads to a mass poisoning, Amell’s Ollie — who died and became the Spectre during Arrow’s final episodes in 2020 — shows up at the perfect time to help save the day. And maybe not for the last time, hints the actor. We recently caught with our old pal Amell, who caught us up on not just his appearance of The Flash, but also his upcoming return to the ring in Heels. Hello, sir! Stephen Amell: How are you?...

Are you ready for the last-ever Arrowverse team-up?
The CW has dropped a trailer for The Flash Season 9 Episode 9, which brings several fan favorites back to Central City one last time.
The highly-anticipated episode brings Stephen Amell back into the mix as Oliver Queen, aka Green Arrow.
It's a big deal because Oliver died at the end of Arrow.
So, how is all of this possible, you ask?
The multiverse remains a big problem for the characters on The Flash Season 9, so we're probably seeing another Earth's iteration of Oliver.
Then again, this universe tends to throw big curveballs at viewers, so we should probably wait until the episode airs on April 26 to speculate.
The special episode also includes David Ramsey, Keiynan Lonsdale (Wally West/Kid Flash), and Sendhil Ramamurthy (Ramsey Rosso/Bloodwork).

That’s why everyone on Team Flash felt so strongly that it was important to create a full-circle moment with Oliver’s return in the final season of ‘The Flash,'” said executive producer Eric Wallace. “The result is an epic-yet-emotional episode we hope Arrowverse fans will enjoy. It’s all to say ‘thank you’ to everyone for watching and supporting our show throughout nine wonderful years.

Dawn Wilkinson, who has partly directed the third season of drama series ‘Step Up’, has shared that the show features stories which are socially relevant but at the same time, they are very entertaining and engage the audience on an emotional plane.
Commenting on the storyline of the show Dawn, who has directed five of the season’s ten episodes said: “I love the way the characters are written, and Holly (showrunner) has created storylines where there are parallels between the characters. The stories are socially relevant but still entertaining and that engages an audience; makes them want to watch and makes them feel for the characters.”
Based on the cult film, ‘Step Up’, this series follows the drama, scandalous romance, and rivalries told through the intersection of the worlds of music and dance within a highly sought-after performance empire.
“I’ve always felt like that is the best way of storytelling.

It took a while, some creative changes, and a home change, but we're back!
Step Up: High Water Season 3 Episode 1 picks up a little after Sage Odom's bus is intercepted by the police, and he is taken into custody.
This effectively halts his anticipated tour, throwing everyone into chaos. Some changes happened when the series was on hiatus. There were some changes creatively and with the cast.
We will explore these changes, including new characters, the new Tal and Collette, the new opening theme, and the story.
The previous opening theme song was a bop. It sets the mood and the tone for the entire episode. The new theme is ... not bad. It takes a while to get into it, but when one hears it three-four times, it gets stuck in their head. I wish they recorded an extended version.

The title of Rose Troche’s film, “My Fake Boyfriend,” may be clunky, but it captures the outrageous premise of this latest gay romantic comedy. When stuntman Andrew is stuck in a toxic relationship with a self-absorbed narcissist, his best friend Jake and his girlfriend Kelly (Dylan Sprouse and Sarah Hyland) decide the only way to break the cycle is with a white lie: the creation of a new (fake!) online boyfriend. Hijinks and an Irl romance ensue in a film that, no matter its contemporary setting, feels like a throwback to an earlier era of Drew/Sandra/Julia-led vehicles. For better and for worse.
Then again, “My Fake Boyfriend” has enough plotlines at play to make it feel like any number of movies. There is Andrew’s increasingly unmanageable lie of a boyfriend, who overnight becomes an internet sensation (having a rocking bod and a global influencer/activist/philanthropist...

Marvel projects may be drawing a slew of high-profile actors to Australia, but it seems there are also local productions inversely capable of attracting MCU talent.
Christopher James Baker has been back in his native country for the past year following more than a decade in New York, during which he starred in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, and also shot the upcoming DC Universe Series, Stargirl.
He has been able to hit the ground running following his return, with roles in Stan’s eight-part mystery drama Eden, as well as Goalpost’s gold rush drama New Gold Mountain.
Baker will first be seen in the former, which is set to premiere on the streaming platform on June 11.
The Every Cloud Productions/Balloon Entertainment series centres on the disappearance of a young woman and a subsequent chain of events that serves to lay bare dark and hidden secrets within the titular coastal town.
