The earnings for Aniplex Inc., Crunchyroll, and Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc anime film in India has finally been revealed, and the numbers certainly look encouraging.
According to our sources in the industry, Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc has earned ₹6.5 crores in India.
The movie earned ₹4.6 crore in its opening weekend itself, and in doing so marked the biggest opening day or weekend for any International or Hollywood film in 2024. It was also the second-biggest opening of all time for any anime film in India.
As part of the movie’s world tour, Tanjiro’s voice actor Natsuki Hanae, and Aniplex producer Yuma Takahashi had come to Mumbai Comic Con 2024 and then attended a special screening of the film with fan screening.
The movie is a compilation of the first episode from the upcoming Hashira Training Arc and the final episode of the Swordsmith Village Arc.

On a dull Saturday afternoon, away from the sweltering summer heat, the anime fans who had made their way into Mumbai Comic Con 2024 at Jio World Convention Center in Bandra-Kurla complex were having the time of their lives.
Gathered outside the Crunchyroll booth, these fans sang in unison, as DJ Kazu belted out some immensely popular anime songs.
