Anna and Zoe (Sasha Pieterse) are twin sisters, sharing the classic close bond that almost nobody can mess with. This stays true until Anna meets Nick (Parker Young), with the two quickly falling in love. While Anna is romantic and trusting, Zoe is aloof and suspicious, determined to get to the bottom of who Nick really is.
Listen up, Pretty Little Liars fans — the sequel to a storyline that never actually existed just dropped. It comes as no surprise that The Image of You is based on a thriller novel of the same name, just as the storyline closely resembling the hit TV series makes complete sense. If you’re looking for astounding or impressive filmmaking, you’ve come to the wrong place. But if you’re prepared to take absolutely everything you...

"What has Anna told you about her past?" Paramount Movies has revealed an official trailer for a romantic comedy thriller titled The Image of You, from filmmaker Jeff Fisher. Arriving to watch in theaters and on VOD directly this May - from director who mostly works in TV and directs cheesy romantic TV movies. The film is about identical twins Anna and Zoe - both played by Sasha Pieterse. It's based on the book of the same name and that description sums it up nicely: Anna and Zoe are twins. Identical in appearance, utterly different in personality, they share a bond so close that nothing – or no one – can rip them apart. Until Anna meets charismatic Nick. Anna is trusting, romantic & hopeful; she thinks Nick is perfect. Zoe is daring, dangerous & extreme; she thinks Nick is a liar. Zoe has seen Anna betrayed by men before. She'll stop at nothing...

ABC will not be moving forward with drama pilot Criminal Nature, from Rashad Raisani, 20th Television and A+E Studios.
Criminal Nature was one of two remaining “second cycle” ABC pilots that had not heard about their fates, along with fellow drama The Company You Keep, starring and executive produced by This Is Us alum Milo Ventimiglia. I hear the latter continues to look promising for a series pickup. Like drama pilot Will Trent, which was picked up to series this month. The Company You Keep also had started a writers room in anticipation of a series order. In another encouraging sign, The Company You Keep also has brought on seasoned writer-producer Phil Klemmer as co-showrunner, I hear.

Starring Michaela McManus, Parker Young and Ian Duff and written by Raisani, Criminal Nature (fka Untitled National Parks Project) was a soapy procedural set in the stunning world of America’s great outdoors.

ABC has opted not to pick up the drama pilot “Criminal Nature” to series.
This is now the second time the project has been passed over at the broadcast network. A different iteration of the pilot with a different creative team — which included Kevin Costner as co-writer — was in the works at ABC in 2021 before being axed in July.
The new version, which had been titled “Criminal Nature,” was part of ABC’s 2022 pilot season slate. It was described as a soapy procedural set in the stunning world of America’s great outdoors. The story revolved around the tangled, messy lives of the agents who work for the Investigative Services Branch (Isb) — an elite law enforcement unit responsible for solving all serious crimes that occur in our country’s 81,000 square miles of protected land.

TV can be a tricky business — one day you’re preparing for a season finale episode, and the next the episode becomes the series finale when the show gets canceled. That is exactly the case with CBS’ United States of Al, which received the ax from CBS just one week out from its season-ender. The comedy, which premiered in April 2021 as a midseason replacement, centers on combat veteran Riley (Parker Young) and the interpreter he’d befriended in Afghanistan, Awalmir, whom he welcomes into his family’s Ohio home, with much of the humor coming from Al’s bewilderment at the American lifestyle. The series was given a second season, which kicked off last fall with frequent high ratings, but the audience was just not big enough for CBS to warrant a third season. But despite last week’s news, the May 19 finale (now the final episode) is airing as...

TV executives just took a broad sword to the broadcast networks’ collective roster of existing series. In a swarm of cancellation and renewal announcements ahead of next week’s upfronts, NBC, The CW, and CBS scrapped a combined 13 series. Yes, all in one day.

It’s the end of the road for the Chuck Lorre-produced United States of Al, as CBS has decided to cancel the comedy series after two seasons. According to Deadline, the eye network made the calls to inform the show’s higher-ups on Wednesday evening. The sophomore sitcom was one of two Lorre-produced comedies on the bubble, alongside B Positive, which has a better chance of renewal in light of Al‘s cancellation. If B Positive is picked up, it will join Lorre’s Young Sheldon and Bob Hearts Abishola on the 2022-23 schedule. United States of Al was created by David Goetsch and Maria Ferrari and revolved around Al (Adhir Kalyan), an interpreter from Afghanistan who moves to Columbus, Ohio, with his friend Riley (Parker Young), a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. CBS has canceled the Chuck Lorre-produced sitcom “United States of Al” after two seasons, Variety has confirmed.
“United States of Al” centers on the relationship between Marine combat veteran Riley (Parker Young) and his Afghan interpreter Awalmir, or “Al” (Adhir Kalyan), who finally lands a visa allowing him passage into the United States. Riley, who has separated from his wife, makes room for Al in his Ohio home, and together they struggle to adjust to their post-combat lives.
Creators David Goetsch and Maria Ferrari, who worked for Lorre on “The Big Bang Theory,” began kicking around the idea for “Al” after seeing stories on the plight of 17,000 Afghan interpreters who have been promised asylum in the United States, but are still waiting to be granted entry. Many of the stories depicted the bond that often developed between veterans and their interpreters.

After 2 seasons, CBS has canceled the Chuck Lorre-produced sitcom “United States of Al,” TheWrap has confirmed.
The show, which debuted during the 2020-2021 season, centers on a U.S. Marine veteran who welcomes his Afghan interpreter to live with him in America. It stars Parker Young as Riley, a combat veteran struggling to readjust to civilian life in Ohio, and Adhir Kalyan as the interpreter who served with Riley’s unit in Afghanistan and who has just arrived to start a new life in the U.S.
The show has two remaining episodes; the final episode will air May 19.
Lorre, who has produced several sitcom blockbuster hits for CBS, has two other shows on the network. “B Positive,” and the “Big Bang Theory” prequel series “Young Sheldon.” “Young Sheldon” has been a solid hit and in March 2021 was renewed for a 5th, 6th and 7th season, with the 5th season concluding later this month.
