Sandro Masmanidi returned only for a brief apology for last week’s volatile getaway scene (does “Please forgive me?” count as an apology?) on tonight’s Project Runway, but did that mean the 90 minutes were relatively drama-free? Hell no! Designer Ken Laurence fiercely stepped up as H.B.I.C. with not only a complete unwillingness to collaborate on yet another “unconventional materials” challenge with members of his own team, but a request for no other designers to look at him, outrageous ageism, and enough passive-aggressive facial expressions (pictured) to bring an all-new 2014 Lexus Is Sedan to a screeching halt.

It was a dream assignment for the designers on "Project Runway," but for one of them it seemed to quickly become a surreal nightmare. They were tasked with making dresses to compliment more than $30 million worth of jewels. The designers got to see the gems on the runway and then choose their favorites to work with. But it all proved too much for Sandro.
Right before the show, while trying to steam his dress, Sandro seemed to completely lose it. He started swearing when he ran into difficulty and abruptly grabbed a crew member.
“Come here, come. Come come come. Start fixing this," Sandro demanded. He must have completely lost his bearings, because there's no way this is allowed.
“I have to step out right now, I have to step out," the confused crew member said. "I have no idea.”
Entertainment Weekly's Jacqueline Andriakos was stunned by this "epic" meltdown.

Last season in Vegas, Tc was all about gambling and casinos, so naturally with this season set in the nation’s capital, we can expect plenty of flags and Yankee Doodle music. Best of all, though, Eric Ripert has joined the panel as a permanent judge.
