Group of teens celebrating the anniversary of a group of brutal murders by an insane woman find themselves being picked off one by one after messing with a witch board and contacting her spirit.
Old school slasher isn't particularly scary or suspenseful as the film focuses more on over the top gore. It does have some atmospheric moments when the film focuses on the urban legend aspects of the story. It does have some visuals that pop. It does offer up scream queen Danielle Harris a nice change of pace from the normal. It's most successful in terms of how lively, energetic and stylish the overall execution is, which makes it pretty easy to digest. However, Blood Night leaves viewers wanting something more. There is so many characters in the film and at a brief 84 minutes,...

Blood Night: The Legend of Mary Hatchet will have an online release through the website of the film beginning Novemenber 22, 2009. A film that is very graphic and living up to the name, the first twelve minutes of Blood Night can be seen here. But be forewarned the footage is mature in nature, very graphic, and not suitable for younger viewers, seriously (scenes of rape and murder)! The creators of Blood Night: The Legend Of Mary Hatchet sent along word that the official website for the grisly new indie feature has gotten an upgrade. They also passed on a couple of exclusive new pics you can see below the cut.
