Earlier this month, we shared the news that Anchor Bay Entertainment – which used to be a major player in the horror world back in the late ’90s and early 2000s, when they gave DVD releases to films like the Evil Dead trilogy, George A. Romero’s Dead trilogy, the Sleepaway Camp franchise, The Hills Have Eyes, The Car, Maniac, Prom Night, some of the Hellraisers, Halloweens, and much more – is being revived, with their first two releases puppet horror film Abruptio and Dinner with Leatherface, a documentary that looks at the life, career, and legacy of original Leatherface actor Gunnar Hansen. Now we’ve learned that the new Anchor Bay has acquired the North American rights to the horror/comedy Crust, with the plan being to release it sometime later this year.

We learned last week that iconic label Anchor Bay Entertainment is coming back to life here in 2024, and founders Thomas Zambeck and Brian Katz have announced this morning that they have acquired the North American rights to the horror/comedy Crust, which will have its release later this year.
Directed by Sean Whalen (The People Under The Stairs), who co-wrote the film with Jim Wald, Crust stars Whalen, Daniel Roebuck (Rob Zombie’s The Munsters), Rebekah Kennedy (Two Witches), Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp), and Ricky Dean Logan (Back to the Future II), with Shawntay Dalon (“Detroiters”) and Alan Ruck (“Succession”).
“As someone who grew up watching Sean on screen, I am thrilled to be in business with him,” says Zambeck. “The fact that it’s on a witty and clever film like this – one that displays such a mastery of tone – makes it so much sweeter. I can’t wait...

"Hope I didn't wake the others..." "The others...?? There's nobody around for acres..." FilmFrontier Studios has unveiled an official festival trailer for an indie film titled The Veil, now playing on the festival circuit. Written & directed & produced by Cameron Beyl, this just premiered in his hometown of Portland at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival earlier this month. Not to be confused with the 2016 horror film The Veil with Jessica Alba, or the 2021 Korean spy thriller series The Veil, this one is something else. Redemption gives way to a reckoning when a reclusive retired priest shelters a young Amish runaway in crisis, only to uncover a mystery that ties her presence to a terrifying encounter from his youth– and the bright aurora borealis that rages overhead. The little indie film stars Sean O'Bryan and Rebekah Kennedy. A "genre bending cosmic horror" that definitely seems like a good fit for the H.

Prolific character actor Sean Whalen may be best known for playing Roach in Wes Craven’s The People Under the Stairs, but he has over 140 other screen acting credits to his name as of today, and now he’s set to make his feature directorial debut with a horror movie called Crust… a strange tale that involves a sock monster. Whalen has reserved the lead role for himself, but Deadline reports that he’s also building up a strong supporting cast. Succession‘s Alan Ruck (who may still be best known for playing Cameron in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off) and genre regular Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp) have joined the cast, which also includes Daniel Roebuck (Rob Zombie’s The Munsters), Rebekah Kennedy (Two Witches), Shawntay Dalon (Detroiters), Ricky Dean Logan (Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare) and Daniel John Kearney (Dark Circles).

Happy October, witches!!!!! Time for stories of ghosts, ghouls, creepy crawlies, and scary women who have made pacts with the devil. To celebrate, Arrow Films is releasing the first feature from writer-director Pierre Tsigaridis - Two Witches.
The film is a pair of loosely connected stories - sort of a mini-anthology. The connecting tissue is the passing of dark powers from one aging woman to her young granddaughter. The older woman governs the events of the first story, while the younger witch takes the mantle and starts wreaking havoc in the second.
The film opens with a young couple trying to enjoy a night out. Sarah (Belle Adams) has recently discovered that she is pregnant. Her partner Simon (Ian Michaels), though enthused, is not the most sensitive person in the world, and honestly, is kind of more than any pregnant woman should have to deal with. Not long into the meal,...

"There is no way that this low life's getting into Heaven whilst I'm stuck here." Uncork'd Ent. has released an official trailer for an indie horror comedy called Limbo, the latest from indie filmmaker Mark Young. The high concept, low budget film is about a murderer who dies and finds himself on trial in Hell, caught between a bitter prosecutor and an inexperienced defense attorney. The entire setup is based around being in "limbo" with a colorful cast of characters. James Purefoy stars a Lucifer, with Lucian Charles Collier as Balthazar, plus Veronica Cartwright, Rebekah Kennedy, Scottie Thompson, Peter Jacobson, Lauryn Canny, Richard Riehle, and Lew Temple. This look that bad, but doesn't look that good either. Here's the first official trailer (+ new poster) for Mark Young's Limbo, direct from YouTube: A murderer named Jimmy (Lew Temple) finds himself on trial in Hell, caught between a bitter prosecutor and an inexperienced defense attorney.

Grey's Anatomy may have wrapped up its sixteenth season early, but spin-off series Station 19 is still chugging along.
The two shows, however, share a universe, meaning that Grey's Anatomy characters work with people from Station 19, and vice-versa.
ABC has dropped a new trailer for Station 19 Season 3 Episode 15, and it shows an armed woman causing trouble after an incident.
In a twist of fate, Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) is in the ambulance trying to operate on a patient, and Ben (Jason George) is also present.
As the clip plays out, gunshots ring out at the conclusion, while Bailey is seen in Grey Sloan Memorial realizing that something is amiss.
Perhaps it's because the ambulance doesn't show up when it should.
If you watch Grey's Anatomy online, you know Bailey has suffered a lot of heartache of late, so killing off her husband would be cruel.
Heck, even killing Jackson would be cruel.

Moving can be a real pain. Finding that perfect house can be an even bigger inconvenience. Well, if I ever had any sort of informal education from horror movies, I’ve learned two fundamental truths. There’s gonna be trouble if hooking up with a beautiful woman is effortlessly easy, or if you run across a seemingly sweet real estate property at a ridiculously low price. I’ll go a bit further and say that said real estate property is probably going to be a murder house inhabited by a vengeful spirit with some serious emotional baggage. I would almost bet the farm on it.

You’d be forgiven for thinking that The Wrong House is yet another “in the woods” slasher flick given the generic DVD box art (which is decidedly similar to 101 Films’ previous release The Lodge) and the films desolate cabin in the woods setting. However instead we get a thrilling haunted house flick that shares more in common with 2003′s Dead End than you’d at first think.
Originally titled House Hunting, the film see two families, led by The Beastmaster himself Marc Singer and character actor Art Lafleur, in town searching for a new home, who both show up at a deserted farmhouse. After rescuing Hanna, a lost girl whose tongue has been cut out, it quickly becomes clear that something is not right as they discover...

The American dream once again becomes the American scream when two families looking to buy a new home attend an open house only to find themselves trapped in a hellish nightmare unleashed by the wrathful spirit of the original owner.
This sounds like a job for Dar the Beastmaster… I mean Marc Singer!

Let’s face it horror fans: we want and rarely get classic rubber monster movies now days. CG has changed the game, but for the better? Jon Keeyes Director Jon Keeyes (American Nightmare, Fall Down Dead) who has shown a clear understanding of what makes a horror film scary and suspenseful will be taking over directing duties for the web series "Throwing Stones". I liked the idea behind the first season of Throwing Stones and thought it featured a dynamic young cast, but I will be honest, I thought it missed the mark in terms of crafting terror and unease. So that's why I am excited to see Keeyes taking over as he has the know how to take what was missing from season 1 and improve upon that. I think Keeyes has the potential to be the next Wes Craven (Scream) if he can score that breakout hit as he has such a command on what makes a scary film scary. Hopefully, he can bring those skill sets to Throwing Stones and show the world what...

The search for the ideal home can be one of the single most stressful things anyone has to deal with. It's a series of phone calls, background checks, bank dealings, more phone calls, and then once you're done even more background checks, bank dealings, and more phone calls. Add some spookiness to the mix and boom now you have an even worse headache.
Below you'll find the first trailer for Eric Hurt's House Hunting starring Marc Singer, Janey Gioiosa, Hayley DuMond, Paul McGill, Rebekah Kennedy, Victoria Vance and Art Lafleur.
Look for more on this one as it comes.
Synopsis
If the American dream for most families is buying a house then for the two families headed to what they think is a simple open house, their dream is about to become a nightmare. We meet our two very different families as they search for the perfect house to call a home.

The Beastmaster goes berserk in this stunning trailer for supernatural horror flick, House Hunting! The indie thriller originally caught my attention for three reasons. First, its premise of two families caught in a house that won't let them leave offered an intriguing old-school premise. Second, it's got a pretty odd ensemble cast in Marc Singer (V, Eagle Eye), Art Lafleur (Field of Dreams, The Rig, Cobra), Rebekah Kennedy (Season of the Witch, Creature) and Paul McGill (Man on Wire, Fame). and third, it's the directorial debut of Dp Eric Hurt, who most recently worked on a scifi flick we're dying to see called called Atlantis Down which is premiering at London Scifi Film Festival right away.
