One of the most popular medical television series, Grey's Anatomy, already has 20 seasons. In 2019, it broke the duration record previously set by ER – 427 episodes against 332. More than three thousand actors have already participated in the show, not many of them are remembered by the viewers, but there is one character who died back in season 11, but is still loved by fans – Dr. Derek Shepherd.
Why Did Patrick Dempsey Leave Grey's Anatomy?
Grey's Anatomy was left without everyone's favorite Dr. Shepherd after Patrick Dempsey had a falling out with showrunner Shonda Rhimes. As it turns out, Dempsey had been complaining about his character's storyline for a long time, implying that he didn't have enough screen time.
The situation was aggravated by the fact that the actor cheated on his wife with one of the assistant producers of Grey's Anatomy. Their affair added to the tension on the set, as many of Dempsey's co-stars knew his wife.

Finally, Patrick Dempsey has made a triumphant return to series TV in this stylish thriller.
Those accustomed to Grey's Anatomy's McDreamy were in for a shock at Dempsey's very different role on Devils Season 1 Episode 1.
Dempsey's character, Dominic Morgan, the CEO at investment bank Nyl, circa 2011, could most kindly be described as cunning.
Dominic appeared to be a personable leader, rallying his troops with a folksy fable in praise of Massimo Ruggero, his head of trading and the actual protagonist of this European production.
But it was clear that, while Massimo is his favored, scrappy protege, Dominic had no compulsion about balancing Massimo's opportunity to rise against the racist whims of the stuffed shirts at the London bank.
To hear Dominic's bitter wife Nina tell it, his desire for an heir to follow him at the bank drove away their son John, who ended up getting killed in combat in Iraq.

The world of Wall Street trading and investment banking are such toxic environments, it’s inconceivable that anyone could create a series about the men and women who populate it that paints them in a positive light, let alone encourages empathy. Mainstream banking culture is rife with brutal competition, with the winners usually being whoever makes more money. The CW’s new dramatic thriller “Devils” certainly portrays the moral bankruptcy that pervades elements of society where criminal capitalistic urges reign supreme, but against the backdrop of a global pandemic leaving millions jobless in austere financial times, and economic disparity hardly diminishing, it feels like a series out of time.
Based on the novel “I Diavoli” by Guido Maria Brera and acquired by The CW after its spring 2020 debut in Italy, “Devils” follows the psychological chess match that transpires between Massimo Ruggero (Alessandro Borghi), the head of trading at one of...

Devils, debuting at 8/7 Wednesday, Oct. 7, on The CW, marks Patrick Dempsey's first starring role on network series TV since he left Grey's Anatomy in 2015.
For Pia Mechler however, Devils, part of The CW's slate of imported scripted pandemic substitutes, gave her a chance to play a complex character in Eleanor Bourg. Eleanor is a key part of the team of Alessandro Borghi's Massimo Ruggero, head of trading at Nyl, a large investment bank. Dempsey plays their boss, Dominic Morgan.
“Eleanor is a woman that is looking for her place at the top of a male-dominated world,” said Mechler in an interview from her home in Brooklyn. “I also loved the show's international appeal. It is representative of a globalized world of finance and that was reflected in our storytelling, as well as in the behind-the-scenes set-up.”

Patrick Dempsey (“Grey’s Anatomy”) and Italian actor Alessandro Borghi (“Suburra”), who co-star in the anticipated financial-world thriller series “Devils,” said the show pulled them into uncharted territories.
A sign that the TV drama business is becoming increasingly global, “Devils” marks the first truly international drama for both actors. Although it shot in English, “Devils” was made by Lux Vide, the producer of “Medici: Masters of Florence” for Sky Italia (“The Young Pope”), and it brings together characters who come from different parts of the world.

Stars: Scott Adkins, Robert Knepper, Rhona Mitra, Temuera Morrison, Ann Truong, Adam Saunders, Jamie Timony, Peter Hardy, Sean Keenan, Troy Honeysett | Written by Matt Harvey, Dominic Morgan, George Huang | Directed by Roel Reine
Take one classic 90s action movie, featuring one of the most iconic action heroes of the decade and directed by a king of the genre. Throw in a two-decade wait and a British action star who is almost single-handedly keeping the old-school Dtv vibe alive (and doing a damn good job of it may I add); and you have Hard Target 2.
Twenty-three years. Has it really been that long? I remember the hype around John Woo’s Hard Target – you couldn’t pick up an issue of Impact Magazine for a least a year beforehand without some mention of the film amongst its pages. It’s actually very surprising that we didn’t get a sequel sooner.

Roger Spottiswoode ("Tomorrow Never Dies," "The 6th Day") is set to direct the psychological suspense thriller "Hyperbaric".
The story takes place onboard a haphazardly constructed narcotics submarine carrying a fortune in cocaine. Four strangers are onboard with their own secrets and must work together as the Coast Guard follows in hot pursuit.
Dominic Morgan and Matt Harvey penned the script while Rick Benattar and Nigel Thomas are producing . This is not to be confused with Antoine Fuqua's rival "Narco Sub" project in development at 20th Century Fox.

Narco subs are apparently the new hot property for filmmakers. With one project about the illegal drugs smuggling craft already underway at Fox, the team at Matador Pictures is launching their own version, Hyperbaric, into the choppy cinematic waters, and has hired Roger Spottiswoode to direct it.Dominic Morgan and Matt Harvey wrote the original spec script, which follows four strangers all harbouring secrets who must cooperate to pilot a crudely fashioned narco submarine. It’s carrying a fortune in cocaine, and the Coast Guard is tracking it down…Spottiswoode is currently pushing Midnight Sun, in which a young boy attempts to reunite an abandoned polar bear cub with its mother in Canada, through the post-production process, but he’s still best known for the likes of Tomorrow Never Dies and Air America.Hyperbaric will be competing with Fox’s Narco Sub, which recently snared Antoine Fuqua to direct. While The Black List may be getting most of the press from entertainment news circles when it's announced in December, there's another compilation of the best new ideas and writing being offered to Hollywood movie studios and producers. It's called The Hit List (Thl), and it differs from The Black List in one fundamental way: whereas The Black List (Tbl) is a list of the top unproduced screenplays in Hollywood, several of the screenplays on that list have been purchased or are in development.
Take a look at last year's Black List (Part 1 is here, Part 2 is here) and here we are, one year later, and several of the scripts that made the 2009 list will be coming out in 2011 -- or have already been released (like The Social Network or Due Date). The Hit List is different in that it seeks to give attention to spec screenplays -- that is,...

NEW YORK -- Bold Films is heading Into Hell. Dominic Morgan and Matthew Harvey have been hired to write the action thriller.
Hell revolves around a group of English soccer hooligans who travel to Istanbul for a match. The gang soon finds themselves in over their heads, however, when they get framed for a political assassination.
Producer Ian Carrington, who is producing with Bold's Miche Litvak and David Lancaster, helped develop the project with longtime friend and action star Jason Statham in mind. Once the script draft is complete, he plans to submit it to Statham, a star player on the United Hollywood soccer team he manages. Statham is in production on Transporter 3.
Carrington brought the project to Bold (Legion) with fellow producers Timothy Peternel and David Hillary of Deviant Films.
Bold's Gary Walters will executive produce the project, which is being overseen by the production/financing company's Jon Oakes.
Morgan and Harvey recently penned The Coral Sea for Working Title and The Twelfth Apostle for A Thousand Words and producer Palmer West.
