Where to begin with The Madness Within? How about right at the start. Seriously, this film has one of the strongest openings I’ve seen in ages. In fact the pre-credits sequence plays out almost like a trailer, showing us what type of man the protagonist is, what “interesting” things he gets up to: sex, drugs and something else, something darker. Something which you can tell right from the get-go is going to be dark and dangerous. And that’s even without so much as an inkling of plot. It’s a tremendous way to introduce a movie and it’s lead character – plus it raises a ton of questions about...

This past March 6th, I had the good fortune to attend the "Bohemian Dream"-themed party at Bardot Hollywood, which benefited the Young Storytellers Foundation, one of the cooler arts-based charities that I've ever heard of and certainly one I would have loved to come to my school as a child.
The Young Storytellers Foundation (http://www.youngstorytellers.com/) brings an incredible program to certain arts-poor Los Angeles area public schools: the nonprofit group invites entertainment industry professionals to the participating schools, who provide the students with a variety of tutoring in the art of storytelling. A significant portion of the program involves students writing their own screenplays and then having them performed by professional actors, including some genuine stars, a few of who acted as hosts...

It was last November when we first heard about the new indie film Cornered from Busted Knuckle Productions, and now that it's nearing its July, 2010 completion date, we've received a new batch of stills and an update on the flick.
Most recently Busted Knuckle's Hunter G. Williams (the writer of the screenplay) and Taylor Chien (the director) have added Heather McComb, Scott Michael Campbell, and Anya Benton to the cast of Cornered, which also includes the versatile Williams as Detective Brant and Ricky Onsgard as the big bad he's gunning for. The anticipated release date is first quarter 2011.
Synopsis:
This is the Stranger’s (Ricky Onsgard) game: All exits are rigged with explosives, and there is only one way out for young, imprisoned, and very innocent Janette (Heather McComb). A serial killer who will stop at nothing to satisfy his bloodlust, the Stranger provides clues for Janette to find the...
