Organized Noize’s Rico Wade was laid to rest at an Atlanta funeral Friday — a day that coincided with the 30th anniversary of the release of Outkast’s debut album Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik — and after the private service, Big Boi and Andre 3000 turned to social media to pay tribute to the pioneering producer who died earlier this month at the age of 52.
“Without Rico Wade… There would be no Outkast,” Big Boi wrote. “From the beginning. Organized Noize signed us. They were our big brothers, and they did a production deal with Laface Records.

Organized Noize producer Rico Wade will be laid to rest at a private funeral in his native Atlanta on Friday, nearly two weeks after the Southern hip-hop innovator died at the age of 52.
The friends and family-only service will take place April 26 at an Atlanta church; according to Fox 5 Atlanta, a 68-member band will perform the music of Organized Noise — which includes producing OutKast, Goodie Mob, and TLC’s “Waterfalls” — as mourners enter the church prior to the funeral.
A funeral procession to Wade’s gravesite will follow the service.

Future lounges in a white office, in a cream coat, occasionally flashing his pearly white teeth. It’s the eighth anniversary of Dirty Sprite, the 2011 mixtape that served as the foundation for an impossibly prolific run for the rapper. The tape — and everything that came with it; the drink, the drugs, the Future persona — spawned an era. Now, Nayvadius Wilburn is declaring the end of that chapter, split between relief and haunted by what, exactly, he wrought.
“I made it seem so cool,” Future says, sadly. “I made it seem so fucking cool.

Future has a long history with Outkast, so it's no surprise that the Atlanta rapper — who releases his sophomore album, "Honest," on Tuesday — played a 10-minute set during the legendary MCs' comeback concert at the opening weekend of the Coachella Music Festival earlier this month.
Future was able to watch Big Boi and André 3000's rise to superstardom from behind the scenes, thanks to his big cousin, Rico Wade, whose Organized Noize production outfit is responsible for classics from Outkast, TLC, En Vogue, and Goodie Mob, among others.

A few months ago, if you didn't live in or near Atlanta, you would be hard-pressed to know who Future was. However, if you did live in or near Atlanta, you be hard-pressed not to hear one of his songs on the radio every five minutes with "Magic," "Ain't No Way Around It," "Go Harder" and "Never Been This High," to name a few.
Now, he's getting national recognition as a contender for MTV News' Hottest Breakthrough Mc.
Future was the hook man on Yc's "Racks," which was probably the most infectious track of the first part of this year. However, the rest of the country got the memo in early July when Drake hopped on a remix of the Atl-ien's "Tony Montana.
