- Blake grew up in both St. Louis, Missouri and Norwalk, Connecticut where both of his parents, both of whom were in the fashion industry, supported his acting career. After graduating high school with a 4.0 GPA, Blake returned back to the east coast where he attended New York University Tisch School. He graduated from NYU with honors in both Drama (BFA) and Journalism (BA.)
Blake's professional acting debut occurred after director James Bartolomeo cast him as Rashawn Brazell in America's Most Wanted: America Fights Back (1988). Shortly after, Blake was cast in the star role in Kirk Shannon-Butts feature film, Blueprint.
Aside from film and television, Blake worked as a print model. Additionally, Blake has performed on stage in New York City, and London.
