Directed by Charles Martin, The Burning Girls revolves around several secrets in the small village of Chapel Croft. The ominous fates of many people in the village and the secrets behind them get unveiled through various courses of events. The wonderful cast of the series includes Samantha Morton, Conrad Khan, Ruby Stokes, David Dawson, Rupert Graves, and others. The six-part horror-suspense thriller has elements of social injustice, the supernatural, mystery, action, and a lot more. There are, however, several inferences from other series and films, including Carrie, Burn the Witch, Witch Hunt, and others. Will the mysteries of the several deaths around the village be resolved? I have come across so many families in many films and series, but never have I come across such a vile family as that of the Harpers in series, The Burning Girls. There are many secrets that are buried in the chest of Simon Harper, the current descendant of the family. He is menacing to anyone who would try to unveil the real face of his ancestors. Family fame and wealth are greater to him than anyone or anything else. Charles Martin has been successful in showcasing a truly vile family in The Burning Girls series, with generations of evil being passed down. The new vicar, Jack, manages to unveil many family secrets, which is a clear motive for them to try to hurt her and her daughter. What are the deadly secrets that the family hides? Let us find out!

Eagle-eyed fans spotted a peculiar ad inside a local newspaper this week that seems to be an undercover nod to the Rolling Stones’ rumoured upcoming album.
In a bright red ad published in the Hackney Gazette, references to the Stones could be seen in an eye-catching manner under the guise of a stonecutting company.

Michaela Coel’s “I May Destroy You” won two BAFTAs in a year where there was no single dominant winner at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts’ (BAFTA) Television Awards on Sunday.
The BBC/HBO show won best mini-series and leading actress for Coel, who dedicated the award to the production’s director of intimacy Ita O’Brien.
“Thank you for your existence in our industry, for making the space safe for creating physical, emotional, and professional boundaries so that we can make work about exploitation, loss of respect, about abuse of power, without being exploited or abused in the process,” Coel said.
Paul Mescal won leading actor for BBC/Hulu show “Normal People.”
In the coveted drama series category, Lennie James’ Sky Atlantic show “Save Me Too” won over fancied rivals “The Crown,” “Gangs of London” and “I Hate Suzie.”
