Apple TV+ executive Michelle Mendelovitz has been named head of drama at 20th Century Fox Television, a position that has been unfilled since the departure of Chloe Dan last June, the studio announced Monday.
In her new role as senior vice president of drama development for the Disney Television Studios-owned studio, Mendelovitz and her team will be responsible for setting the label’s drama development strategy, identifying writers and helping to shepherd projects from pitch to series order.

A new doctor is coming to Chastain Memorial Park Hospital when “The Resident” returns for its third season this September, with this one played by Morris Chestnut.

Page moves to 20th following a three-year stint at Temple Hill Entertainment, where he served as Head of Television and worked frequently with 20th, including overseeing the launch of an overall deal between Temple Hill and the studio.

Michael Chiklis has joined the cast of Eagle Eye, the D.J. Caruso-directed thriller for DreamWorks.
Chiklis (The Shield) will play the U.S. secretary of defense in the story that revolves around a slacker (Shia LaBeouf) and a single mother (Michelle Monaghan) who form an unlikely partnership when they are framed as terrorists and forced to become members of a cell with plans to carry out a political assassination.
Along with LaBeouf and Monaghan, Chiklis joins Billy Bob Thornton, Rosario Dawson, Anthony Azizi and Anthony Mackie in the film, which has resumed production after being on hiatus for the holidays. The film is scheduled to wrap in February.
Hillary Seitz penned the latest draft of the film, with Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci executive producing through their DreamWorks-based shingle. Pat Crowley and Ed McDonnell also are producing.
