Actor Grant Gustin wore the Flash suit for nine years as he starred as the titular character in The CW’s The Flash. A part of the Arrowverse series of TV shows, The Flash saw Barry Allen become the scarlet speedster after being struck by lightning in Central City. The series sees him fight various antagonists and also find the killer of his mother.
Though he was grateful for getting the opportunity to play the character, Gustin reportedly suffered while putting on the costume for the show. The Flash costume included a red one-piece suit and a face mask that covered most of his face. The actor mentioned how tough it was to get in and out of the suit and how he used to spend hours in the suit while filming.

One major problem that plagued most Arrowverse shows was CW’s inability to end them at the right time. While most of them started on a high note, especially Grant Gustin’s The Flash, which was the biggest superhero show on TV upon its release, the writers couldn’t carry the momentum in the later seasons. But things could have been very different for the CW show that started it all, Arrow.
Had CW stuck to the original plans for the show, Arrow could’ve ended on a really high note, as instead of going on for 8 seasons, season 5 was originally intended to be the show’s end.

Running for almost a decade, Grant Gustin’s tenure as The Flash came to a close with Season 9 a year ago. The series finale saw Eddie’s resurrection and transformation into Cobalt Blue, who later reconciled with Barry to save the timeline. However, they don’t exactly part ways as friends. The show ends with Nora’s birth and Barry passing on the mantle to new speedsters.

George Lucas is unarguably one of the best masters of science fiction storytelling, and the Star Wars saga only proves just how immensely talented he is. Not only has he created jaw-dropping storylines for this universe, but he has also introduced some of the most out-of-the-world characters. This also includes getting influenced by other universes and basing his own characters on them.

Surprisingly enough, Cad Bane, who is regarded as one of the most dangerous bounty hunters in this sci-fi universe, was created after Lucas was inspired by a character from Sergio Leone’s Dollars Trilogy. But what’s iconic is that this particular bounty hunter is actually based on Lee Van Cleef’s Angel Eyes, the enigmatic character from the Clint Eastwood-starrer trilogy.

The mastermind behind the massively fan-favorite Star Wars universe, George Lucas, never ceases to bring about the most epic of ideas to life. Be it ideas to include in his superhit lore or ideas to protect the same, he has most certainly been one of the most imaginative people to have ever walked on this planet. In fact, he even devised a plan to make his saga leak-proof!

After garnering immense popularity following his appearance in Arrow, Grant Gustin’s Scarlet Speedster received his own standalone series in 2014, often considered the peak of the Arrowverse. Although the next two seasons had their fair share of issues but were received positively, from season 4, it was all downhill for the series, and it hit a new low with season 7.
While The Flash was notable for its pop culture references, season 7’s finale went a little above and beyond with its Star Wars homage, which didn’t sit well with fans in the slightest.

The CW has spawned a number of DC shows in the past few decades, and The Flash stands among the best of them. The Flash had a successful run on The CW, with Grant Gustin playing Barry Allen for close to a decade. While his casting initially raised some eyebrows, the Glee alum soon proved himself a perfect fit for the Fastest Man Alive.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee met for the third time during the 2023-2024 Broadway season on April 19, to discuss eligibility of 8 productions for the 77th Annual Tony Awards in 2024.
They discussed eight productions: “Days of Wine and Roses,” “Doubt,” “The Notebook,” “An Enemy of the People,” “Water for Elephants,” “The Who’s Tommy,” “The Outsiders” and “Lempicka.” The group also met during the winter to discuss late fall and winter openings, but those determinations were not made public until now. Those shows include: “I Need That,” “Harmony,” “Spamalot,” “How to Dance in Ohio,” “Appropriate” and “Prayer for the French Republic.”

Puppy Love is a romantic comedy starring Lucy Hale, Grant Gustin and Jane Seymour. It is directed by Nick Fabiano and Richard Alan Reid.
It’s one of those movies where, despite the ice cream tub beside the bed, the girl wakes up even skinnier than before, almost made up, and spectacularly beautiful. He’s a guy whose biggest problem might just be that he’s too nice and nerdy. She’s a mess, and he suffers from something called post-covid social anxiety. Can you imagine the existential drama of these two attractive but lonely characters in life and love?

CW’s Arrowverse gave rise to plenty of shows, but arguably the best among them was ‘The Flash,’ which last year concluded its ninth and final season. Grant Gustin portrayed the Scarlet Speedster for almost 10 years, and he is well known to be among the best live-action versions of the character.
Since Flash himself is one of the most popular characters in DC comics, plenty of fans have been wondering whether he will be included in the newly rebooted Gunn’s & Safran’s Dcu.
Dceu did have its Flash, portrayed by the highly scandalous Ezra Miller. The character eventually got its own movie, adapting the famous ‘Flashpoint’ storyline in which Miller’s Flash supposedly resets the timeline completely changing some vital details in his universe. The movie was met with mixed reactions, and it was one of the final flops that Dceu had.

Green Lantern, starring Ryan Reynolds as the titular character, was a critical disaster for DC. The film was panned by fans and critics alike, and even Reynolds refused to suit up to play Hal Jordan again.
Unfortunately, the film’s failure was not just limited to the box office. It had far-reaching effects, and one of the victims of the catastrophe was DC’s animated show. Green Lantern: The Animated Series could not evade the chopping block either, and its cancellation was tied to Reynold’s forgettable outing as the superhero.

Water for Elephants, an extravagant circus-meets-musical, premiered at Broadway’s Imperial Theatre. This production, a collaboration between Rick Elice, who wrote the book, and PigPen Theatre Co., which was responsible for the score, marks the impressive Broadway debut.
Adapted from Sara Gruen‘s novel, Water for Elephants follows the story of Jacob Jankowski (played by Gregg Edelman), a retired veterinarian drawn to the circus. As the crew dismantles the set, Jacob lingers, and quizzical workers discover that he found his purpose at the circus after he fled his final exams at Cornell.
Grant Gustin portrays the younger Jacob, who, amid the Great Depression, hops aboard a train with the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth. The Benzinis faced financial ruin in 1929, and their new owner, August Rachinger (Paul Alexander Nolan), is yet to redefine the circus’s identity. Initially, August contemplates whether or not to throw Jacob off the train,...

The up-and-coming actress Daniela Melchior has taken her career leaping in the entertainment industry by scoring roles in two of the industry’s most dominating franchises, i.e., the DC Universe and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Besides these, she also scored the role of Ellie, one of the main characters in the recently released Road House remake.
Daniela Melchior in Road House.
But if there’s one franchise she looks forward to returning to, that’s James Gunn’s Dcu. In fact, she even mentioned that she is most certainly “open” to reprising her iconic role from 2021’s critically-commended masterpiece, The Suicide Squad: That of Ratcatcher 2. However, that event seems inevitably unlikely because of one of Gunn’s decisions for the DC reboot.

James Gunn is now the co-ceo of DC Studios and is currently developing various projects to build up his new Dcu. Gunn is deeply passionate and wants to present a unique Dcu that will bring the brand back to form after a series of flops. He has already delivered two great projects in the Dcu with 2021’s The Suicide Squad and 2022’s Peacemaker.
A still from James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad
Gunn introduced some wacky yet relatable characters with the Peacemaker series and The Suicide Squad. The latter had King Shark and no one thought that the character would turn out to be the scene-stealer of the film. Sylvester Stallone, who voiced the character in the film, fell in love with the character and was enthusiastic to bring the character to life.

Regardless of one’s opinions towards the Arrowverse, it was difficult to criticize Tom Cavanagh’s portrayal of Eobard Thawne / Reverse-Flash. He has even played multiple versions of Harrison Wells on the CW’s The Flash, which stars Grant Gustin in the lead.
Cavanagh recently said that he would be amenable to reprising his role as Reverse-Flash in James Gunn’s upcoming DC Universe. Well, the Guardians of the Galaxy director, 57, would have a good reason to bring the Canadian actor back to the role in the Dcu since the viewers praised his portrayal of Eobard Thawne.

Broadway’s insanely busy spring doesn’t really kick into full gear until next month when 14 new shows have their official openings, but with March as a sort of sign of things to come – five shows have opened or will soon this month – box office was strong last week.
In all, the 25 productions grossed $28,059,463 during the week ending March 17, a bump of 14% over the previous week, with attendance of 219,954 at a solid 94% of capacity.

Tom Cavanagh who played Reverse-Flash in the CW series The Flash, is now ready to jump ship to DC. The actor made his return to the CW show for its series finale and the actor recently revealed that he is willing to appear in James Gunn’s new DC universe.
Tom Cavanagh as Reverse Flash
Reverse Flash is one of the wonderful additions to the world of Barry Allen in CW, the fitting nemesis to the Speedster. However, as the show has reached the final end, new reports suggest that Cavanagh is not over playing the character.

Superman’s future looks considerably brighter as James Gunn prepares the new version of the DC Universe. Further, even Jack Quaid’s 2023 animated TV series My Adventures With Superman, featured the superhero as a heartfelt and charming one. To be specific, ever since the end of Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel era, the fan-favorite character has witnessed bright and positive days.
Jack Quaid as Hughie Campbell in The Boys
The grim and gritty Superman is now considered a thing of the past. With James Gunn promising to bring a more hopeful Kryptonian, Henry Cavill’s gritty version is now history. However, despite starring as the Last Son of Krypton in the PG-rated 2023 animated TV series, Jack Quaid offered his rare support to Cavill’s grim version of Kal-El. Although he preferred starring as the positive and proactive version, he has nothing against the darker versions of Superman.

With such a beloved and iconic character as Superman being reiterated for another vision, it becomes imperative for James Gunn to bring something new and impactful to the table as the Dcu starts taking shape. So far, there have been several compelling rumors and speculations that have presented an expectation barrier for the fans to theorize on by constant updates by the co-ceo of DC Studios.

But by far one of the biggest updates to the project came in the form of the logo for the upcoming Superman: Legacy, which will be donned by David Corenswet in the film and the Dcu in the future. Thus, new theories have started to formulate, and one of them paints a picture of a darker, more gritty narrative if the Kingdom Come arc storyline is followed as was revealed by the logo.

American actor Grant Gustin kickstarted his acting career in 2004 while still in high school. He had landed a role in the movie Rain, in which he played the role of a mute young man who helped a man solve the mystery of his wife’s murder with visions he was getting. The director/producer, Neil Grochmal, had said that Gustin would have a great future in acting, and he wasn’t wrong.
Years later, Gustin did what could be regarded as one of the most important roles he has played to date. That role is none other than that of the DC superhero character Barry Allen, popularly known as The Flash. This role catapulted him to fame, and for those wondering if he would ever return as The Flash, he has put forward one condition under which he would do so.

This Blue Beetle article contains spoilers.
At the start of Blue Beetle’s second act, protagonist Jaime Reyes (Xolo Maridueña) asks an important question: “Who the hell was Blue Beetle?”
A lot of viewers wondered the same thing when the Warner Bros. movie came to theaters earlier this year and they’ll likely be asking it again now that the movie is streaming on Max. People don’t ask that same question of Superman, Batman, or Wonder Woman, but not because Blue Beetle is at best a C-lister in the DC Comics bullpen. Rather it’s because the man behind the Blue Beetle mask has changed several times since Charles Nicholas Wojtkoski debuted the character in 1939.
The big-screen adaptation introduces Blue Beetle as Jaime Reyes, who is a recent college grad forced to the superhero identity after receiving an alien scarab from Jenny Kord (Bruna Marquezine), the daughter of inventor Ted Kord,...

The musical, based on the Sara Gruen 2006 novel that was made into a 2011 film that starred Robert Pattinson in the Jacob role, begins previews on Saturday, February 24, at Broadway’s Imperial Theatre. Opening night is Thursday, March 21.
Water For Elephants features a book by Rick Elice and a score by PigPen Theatre Company (The Tale of Despereaux). Jessica Stone (Kimberly Akimbo) directs.
Alliance Theatre production of ‘Water for Elephants’
The casting was announced today by producers Peter Schneider, Jennifer Costello, Grove Entertainment, Frank Marshall, Isaac Robert Hurwitz, and Seth A. Goldstein. Additional casting to be announced soon.
The synopsis: “After losing what matters most, a young man jumps a moving train unsure of where the road will take him and finds a new home with the remarkable crew of a traveling circus, and a life – and love – beyond his wildest dreams. Seen through the eyes of his older self, his adventure becomes a poignant reminder that if you choose the ride, life can begin again at any age.”
Gustin’s stage credits include a touring production of West Side Story. He joined the cast of Glee in the musical series’ third season, portraying Sebastian Smythe, the lead of Dalton Academy’s singing group the Warblers. Film credits include Krystal and Affluenza. He’s played The Flash‘s Barry Allen since the series debut in 2014 and continued through its final episode in May of this year. He also made several crossover appearances on Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl.
McCalla is currently starring as Maizy in Shucked on Broadway, and she originated the role of Alyssa Greene in The Prom and played Princess Jasmine in Aladdin both on Broadway and the North American Tour. She originated the role of Marlena in the world premiere of Water for Elephants at the Alliance Theatre this past summer.
