A full Free Movie of the Day is posted on the JoBlo Movies YouTube channel every day of the week – but on Fridays things get a little freakier and a little more fun. Get your weekend started the right way by indulging in Friday Fright Nights! Every Friday, we’ll be taking a look at another genre movie you can watch in its entirety, free of charge, either on the YouTube channel linked above or in the video embed here.
Last week’s Friday Fright Nights feature was the slasher Scare Zone, which was set in and around a haunted house attraction. So I suggested that any independent filmmakers out there who have access to haunted house attractions should also base a story around that location. This week’s feature can serve as inspiration for aspiring filmmakers and indie filmmakers as well. It’s a found footage horror film called The Andy Baker Tape,...

"I'm just glad you decided not to cut me out of your life." Terror Films has revealed an official trailer for an indie horror titled The Andy Baker Tape, a made-during-the-pandemic found footage film. It premiered at a few small festivals last year and debuts on VOD in August. In October of 2020, food blogger Jeff Blake and his half-brother Andy Baker hit the road on a food tour that had the potential to change their lives. They were never seen again. This is their footage... The filmmakers explain a bit more behind this: "The Andy Baker Tape was written, shot, and edited in a 6-month period during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. Created by a displaced screen actor, an out-of-work Blue Man, an Australian-based sound engineer, and a first-time female producer; this film is a testament to creation and keeping the artistic spirit alive while the rest of the world was forced into hibernation.

Julie Walters (National Treasure) and Clarke Peters (The Wire) are fronting a dark, irreverent drama based around a death pact for broadcaster Channel 4.
They will star in Clerkenwell Films’ six-part Truelove, which is written by from Iain Weatherby (Humans) and co-created with Charlie Covell. She wrote the tonally similar Channel 4 and Netflix drama The End Of The F***ing World — another Clerkenwell production.
With a core cast in their 60s and 70s, Channel 4 says the series “breaks the rules for older characters on screen and flips ageist tropes on their head in a series which promises thrilling twists and turns, irreverent humour and passionate romance.”
Walter will play Phil, an ex-senior police chief enjoying a comfortable if boring retirement, and Peters plays Ken, a divorcee and ex-special forces vet who feels similarly at sea. The pair are childhood sweetheart who never quite managed to forget each other.

Exclusive: If Charlie Covell decides to return to her cult drama The End Of The F***ing World, she will be pushing on an open door at Channel 4, which originally commissioned the show and co-produced it with Netflix.
That’s according to Channel 4 director of programs Ian Katz, who told Deadline that Covell “can keep doing that one as long as she likes” when asked if he can coax the writer into penning a third season of the show, which stars Jessica Barden and Alex Lawther.
“I think she might take a breather doing something else for a while, but she’s a classic writer,” Katz said, adding that it is Channel 4’s most-binged show ever. He said The End Of The F***ing World was an example of a co-production that has worked for Channel 4 because it is “deeply relatable and relevant to a British audience.”

Lucy Forbes, lead director of The End of The F***ing World’s second season, has spent much of the last 12 months in the woods and forests of deepest, darkest Wales, where she has been shooting four episodes of the Channel 4/Netflix drama and BBC dark comedy In My Skin.
She has been creating rules to ensure that the nihilism of the Jessica Barden-fronted graphic novel adaptation and the Kayleigh Llewellyn-penned coming-of-age story look right and ultimately “trying not to fuck it up”.
Having achieved this, she also came home to London to find a nice surprise, a slew of messages from young, female directors following the launch of The End of The Fxxking World earlier this month.
“The really lovely thing is that loads of young female directors have been reaching out to me saying that they love the show and it’s nice to see...

Netflix dropped the trailer for Season 2 of “The End of the F***ing World” Wednesday, which featured Graham Coxon’s cover of Billy Idol’s “White Wedding.” And yes, the show used the song in pretty much the most depressing way you could possibly imagine.
In the 1-minute, 31-second video above, you’ll see an even-more-depressed-than-usual Alyssa (Jessica Barden) is getting married, though we don’t get to see to who. And she’s obviously still grieving the apparent death of her boyfriend James (Alex Lawther) at the end of Season 2. For those of you who were hoping that cliffhanger meant he could still be alive, looks like that’s not the case. And based on a telling image in the trailer of Alyssa looking at a bullet with “James” engraved on it, we’re concerned she’s now considering taking her own life.

Channel 4 and Netflix have teamed up to commission a second series of the Rts Award-winning and BAFTA-nominated series The End of the F***ing World.

The first series saw teen outsiders James and Alyssa embark on a road trip which descended into darkly comic chaos. After finding themselves embroiled in a series of violent events they are soon trailed by two uniquely mismatched police detectives, played by BAFTA-winning Wunmi Mosaku and Gemma Whelan. Netflix has renewed its comedy “The End of the F—ing World” for a second season, the streamer said on Tuesday.
Charlie Covell will return to write the second season, which is based on the award-winning comic series by Charles Forsman. Murray Ferguson, Ed Macdonald, Andy Baker, Charlie Covell, Dominic Buchanan and Jonathan Entwistle serve as executive producers.
The eight-episode first season followed James (Alex Lawther) and Alyssa (Jessica Barden) – a self-proclaimed psychopath and a foul-mouthed rebel fed-up with her boring life. The two embark on a roadtrip to find a better life, and escape the impending doom of adulthood. As their chaotic journey unfolds, it becomes apparent that James and Alyssa have crossed a line and have no choice but to take it as far as they can.

In the first episode of season one of Netflix's 13 Reasons Why, we get the distinct feeling that the adults at Liberty High School are not to be trusted. Through Hannah Baker's tapes, we even learn exactly which adult (in her view) fails her the most in her time of need: Mr. Porter. He's struggling quite a bit in season two, so you may be wondering exactly how he interacts with Hannah before her death. Here's a quick reminder!
Kevin Porter is Liberty High School's counselor, and we continuously see him checking in with all the students after Hannah's death. He comes across as very perceptive about who everyone hangs out with and in which social circles everyone is included. This is actually amazing because he reveals to another teacher that he has over 600 students on his advisory list. But in episode three, we see him lie outright to the principal about meeting Hannah.
