“Maestro,” “Saltburn” and “Barbie” have won the feature-film awards from the Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild, which gave out its annual awards on Sunday evening in Los Angeles.
“Maestro” won awards the two Muahs categories that most closely correspond to the Oscars’ Best Makeup and Hairstyling category: Best Special Make-Up Effects and Best Period and/or Character Make-Up.
“Saltburn” won for Best Contemporary Make-Up and Best Contemporary Hair Styling, while “Barbie” took the award for Best Period and/or Character Hair Styling.

“Darkest Hour” continued its march toward Oscar gold for makeup and hairstyling, winning period and special makeup effects honors Saturday night at the Muahs Awards at The Novo at L.A. Live. Oscar frontrunner Gary Oldman additionally earned the Distinguished Artisan Award for his remarkable portrayal of Winston Churchill.
Oldman lured Kazuhiro Tsuji out of retirement, and he responded with the greatest achievement of his career, sculpting from the inside out. The Japanese makeup artist would be the first Asian to win the Oscar in his category.

Showtime series Homeland swept the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards netting popular awards for Damien Lewis (Best Actor), Claire Danes (Best Actress), and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series and Best Drama Series.
The Primetime wins helped Homeland secure its place as the Emmy's surprise hit of 2012. Lewis beat out Emmy favourites Jon Hamm and Bryan Cranston, who himself won the award twice for his role as Walter White in AMC.s Breaking Bad.
