The Duggar family and the Bates family may no longer be close, but once upon a time, the two supersized families spent a lot of time together. Many of their children were around the same age. Naturally, over the years, courtship rumors have followed the families. So far, none of the Duggar kids have publicly dated any of the Bateses. Still, rumors persist. We’ve collected a few of the rumored pairings.
Carlin Bates is rumored to have dated Joseph Duggar
Carlin Bates is now married to Evan Stewart. Based on their YouTube videos, they seem well-suited to each other. He wasn’t her first boyfriend, though. Before Evan came into the picture, Carlin was dating someone else. In a YouTube Q&a, Carlin revealed she was nursing a broken heart when Evan first showed interest in her. She even admitted that she had been “dumped.”

Word first arrived in September that Sony was looking to further develop opportunities for the large amount of Marvel characters to which it owns the rights. There is now a distribution deal in place, with Amazon picking up global rights to any potential shows.
First out of the gate will be Silk: Spider Society, which will follow the adventures of Cindy Moon, a character created by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos.
A Korean-American classmate of Peter Parker’s, she was first introduced in the comic books in The Amazing Spider-Man #1 in 2014. Like Parker, she is bitten by a radioactive spider, which gives her the ability to move at incredible speed, shoot webs out of her fingertips, and possess an advanced Spider-Sense (known as Silk Sense). Tiffany Espensen played the character in [Spider-Man: Homecoming](Spider-Man: Homecoming), though not the superhero version.

A slew of Marvel characters are heading to the small screen after MGM+, the linear network formerly known as Epix, and Amazon Prime Video ordered a suite of live-action series from Sony Pictures Television.
Spider-Man spinoff series Silk: Spider Society, which has been in the works for some time, will be the first show to emerge from the pact with The Walking Dead’s Angela Kang set as showrunner.
The deal is a culmination of a complex web of rights that meant the series will have to debut first on a linear network, in this case MGM+, which is set to be relaunched with its new name in January. MGM+ will have the first window in the U.S. and the series will then air on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service in the States. Internationally, the series will also air on the Amazon streamer in 240 countries and territories.

A live-action series based on the Marvel Comics character Silk is in development at Sony Pictures TV, with Amazon in talks to acquire the streaming rights, an individual with knowledge told TheWrap.
A live-action Silk series would be under Sony’s ownership of all Spider-Man universe characters and would be executive produced by Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The duo signed a nine-figure overall deal with Sony TV last year, which was supposed to include a suite of new TV series based on Sony’s Marvel Universe. Silk is set to be part of a larger roster of characters, similar to Netflix’s “Defenders” franchise that included Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Lauren Moon (“Atypical”) is in talks to write.

Sony’s long-in-the-works “suite” of TV series based on Marvel characters controlled by the studio is getting closer to reality.
I hear Sony is in talks with Amazon to be the SVOD distributor of the high-profile package of shows, which includes multiple titles. The first, which was identified by Sony Pictures TV about a year ago and had been in development at the studio, is Silk. Lauren Moon, a writer on Sony TV’s Netflix series Atypical, wrote the TV adaptation based on the Korean-American comic book superhero, created by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos.
Silk would mark one of the first comic book series led by an Asian-American character. There have been many Asian comic book characters in TV series and in film. Often times they are seen as a supporting character or part of a larger ensemble. This dates all the way back to Bruce Lee in the 1960s Green Hornet series.

Silk could soon be the next Marvel character to get her own TV series, Variety has learned from sources.
Variety has learned that Sony, which controls the rights to the Spider-Man universe, is developing a live-action series centered on Silk. Lauren Moon is in talks to write. Like Silk, Moon is Korean-American. Her past credits include the Freeform series “Good Trouble” and the Netflix series “Atypical.”
Phil Lord and Chris Miller are executive producing under their Lord Miller production banner along with former Sony Pictures Entertainment head Amy Pascal. Sony Pictures Television, where Lord Miller is under a rich overall deal, will produce. No network or streaming service is currently attached, but sources say Amazon is in talks to acquire the project, along with other potential Marvel series based on characters Sony controls.
Reps for Sony, Moon, Lord Miller, Pascal, and Amazon declined to comment.

A movie is in the works based on the Marvel comic “Silk,” which centers on Korean-American superheroine Cindy Moon.
Sony Pictures and producer Amy Pascal are developing the film based on a character that first appeared in “The Amazing Spider-Man #1” in 2014 — created by writer Dan Slott and artist Humberto Ramos. She’s part of the basic Peter Parker storyline about a demonstration on the use of radioactive rays at a science exhibit gone wrong. A spider is exposed to large amounts of radiation and bites Parker — giving him the power to become Spider-Man.
Moon, a student in Parker’s class, is also bitten by the radioactive spider around the same time and gains the ability to move at incredible speed, shoot webs out of her fingertips, and possess an advanced Spider-Sense (known as Silk Sense). Tiffany Espensen played the character in last year’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” which Pascal produced with Marvel topper Kevin Feige.

Sony and Spider-Man: Homecoming producer Amy Pascal are set to develop a movie about relatively new Marvel Comics superhero Silk (aka Cindy Moon), according to Deadline.
First appearing in Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 3 #1 by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos, Moon was bitten by the same radioactive spider that gave Peter Parker his powers (it bit him on the hand before falling onto her ankle and biting her). But while Peter went on to battle evil as everyone’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, Moon ended up being captured by a guy named Ezekiel Sims and stayed in an underground bunker for 13 years, only to emerge much to Parker’s surprise.
So, she’s basically Kimmy Schmidt but also Spider-Man. I’m sold! As far as her powers go, she’s not quite an exact copy of Spidey, as she can shoot webs out of her finger-tips, possesses an eidetic memory and has a...

Sony and producer Amy Pascal are in early development on a movie adaptation of the Marvel comic Silk, about Korean-American superheroine Cindy Moon, which was created by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos.
In the comics, Cindy is a student in Peter Parker’s class who also is bitten by a radioactive spider around the same time as Peter. She gains abilities similar to his, though she is able to shoot webs out of her fingertips, possesses an eidetic memory, and has advanced Spider-Sense (known as Silk Sense) far stronger than Peter’s. She also has less superhuman strength than him but is faster.
While this project will mark the first stand-alone feature for Cindy Moon, it wouldn’t be the first time she appears in the McU. The character was seen in Pascal-produced Spider-Man: Homecoming (played by Tiffany Espensen) as a member of the decathlon team along with Tom Holland’s Peter Parker.

We’ve known for a long time now that Avengers: Infinity War would feature a whopping 67 significant characters, but apparently, the movie still has room for one more hero from Marvel’s back catalogue. That’s because new evidence suggests that another web-slinging ally of Spider-Man’s will put in an appearance at some point.
This rumor gained traction after IMDb’s Twitter account shared a run-through of Tiffany Espensen’s filmography, which revealed that her credits had been updated with an appearance in Infinity War. Fans might remember that the young actress previously appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming as one of Peter Parker’s classmates. She was listed as playing Cindy, a name which caught the attention of comic book readers.
In recent time, it’s been revealed that Peter’s former classmate Cindy Moon was also bitten by the same spider that got Peter, leaving her with similar powers.

There are plenty of bit players in Spider-Man: Homecoming whose names will be familiar to comic book fans -- the Tinkerer, the Shocker and could Tiffany Espensen's Cindy eventually be revealed as Cindy Moon aka Silk? One of the most significant inclusions, though, is Aaron Davis (Donald Glover), a low-level criminal who appears only briefly in the movie.
Minor spoilers ahead for Spider-Man: Homecoming.

It’s been one of the most prominent questions to linger over Jon Watts’ 2017 reboot in recent weeks – just who is playing The Shocker in Spider-Man: Homecoming?
A leaked casting docket that surfaced online appeared to unveil the true identity of the actor behind Herman Schultz, though it wasn’t until co-star Hannibal Buress inadvertently verified said casting sheet a few days later that fans really began to stand up and take notice.

For all intents and purposes – and barring an abrupt bait-and-switch by Marvel Studios – it is Bokeem Woodbine that will assume the part of the street-level thug come 2017. That means Homecoming is deep in production, as the waves upon waves of set photos attest, and a new snap has found its way online that features what we assume to be Holland hanging about on set. Remember, drawing on his experience as a dancer, the up-and-comer is poised to perform all his own stunts in the Marvel reboot.

The cast of Sony and Marvel's "Spider-Man: Homecoming" just keeps on growing with three more names joining the roster - Garcelle Beauvais ("White House Down"), Tiffany Espensen ("Kirby Buckets") and the legendary Tyne Daly ("Cagney and Lacey").

That isn't the only casting announcement made today. Another is that Santiago Cabrera ("Heroes," "Merlin") is set to star in the currently shooting "Transformers: The Last Knight". Specifics of his role in the Michael Bay-directed effort have not been disclosed.

You can go ahead and add two more names to the growing cast of the Sony/Marvel Studios reboot Spider-man: Homecoming. The film, which already features Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Robert Downey Jr., and Zendaya, continues to add players for parts we don't yet know about. In recent weeks, Donald Glover, Martin Starr, Michael Mando, and Tyne Daly have joined the cast of Spider-man: Homecoming. This week, we've got word that Garcelle Beauvais and Tiffany Espensen have entered the fray.
Garcelle Beauvais
Tiffany Espensen
Beauvais is best known for roles in NYPD Blue and The Jamie Foxx Show, while Espensen hails from children's shows like Kirby Buckets and Bucket & Skinner's Epic Adventures. As was stated earlier, there's currently no word on who either actress will be playing in Spider-man: Homecoming, though, based on her age, it's probably a safe bet that Espensen goes to high school with Holland's Peter Parker.

Yes, the Spider-Man: Homecoming casting announcements just keep on coming. To be fair, most big tentpole movies like this feature enormous casts, it’s just that in this instance, even the most minor of supporting roles are being reported on for some reason. The latest additions, Tiffany Espensen and Garcelle Beauvais, were actually spotted in and around the set of the movie already, but Deadline has now confirmed that they’ve joined the production.
The site reckons their specific roles are still under wraps, but based on the photos we’ve seen, it’s safe to assume that Beauvais (NYPD Blue, Wild Wild West) will be playing a faculty member at Peter Parker’s high-school, while Espensen (Monsterville: The Cabinet of Souls) will be a student.
The cast is definitely building impressively – but there’s still no word on who (if anyone) will play J.J. Jameson, who after being...

Does Spider-Man: Homecoming have the biggest cast ever seen in a comic book movie? Probably not, but the trades know that Marvel + Spider-Man = clicks, so they're reporting on every single addition no matter how big or small. While their roles are predictably being kept a secret, Tiffany Espensen and Garcelle Beauvais are the latest actresses to board the highly anticipated (and extremely busy) reboot. Espensen is a relative unknown who currently stars in Disney Xd's Kirby Buckets. She also appeared in Monsterville: The Cabinet of Souls. Beauvais meanwhile is best known for roles in The Jamie Foxx Show and NYPD Blue. Other big and small screen credits include Franklin & Bash and White House Down. As great as all these casting additions may be, the one that the vast majority of fans want to see still hasn't happened, and that's someone to play J. Jonah Jameson. At this stage, it's unclear...

This is the Pure Movies review of Hop, directed by Tim Hill and starring Russell Brand, James Marsden, Kaley Cuoco, Hank Azaria, Gary Cole, Elizabeth Perkins, Hugh Laurie, Tiffany Espensen and David Hasselhoff. Written by Lisa Keddie for Pure Movies. Admittedly, Russell Brand is an acquired taste, and if that taste is slowly turning sour in the mouth after endless media reports about the Brand marriage and rising Brand transatlantic stardom, you would be forgiven for releasing a disparaging groan at the mere mention of Hop – a film voiced by Brand. Much as this thought first curled the toes, the comedian actually tones down his (often) X-rated banter to bring as much heart, spirit and soul to little E.B., the Easter Bunny-in-waiting that it’s hard to wipe the silly smile off your face and grumble. And parents can breathe a sigh of relief, too – their little darlings will...

The Hangover: Part Two
Opens: May 26th 2011
Cast: Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifinakis, Justin Bartha, Ken Jeong
Director: Todd Phillips
Summary: Phil, Stu, Alan and Doug travel to exotic Thailand for Stu’s wedding. After the unforgettable bachelor party in Las Vegas, Stu is taking no chances and has opted for a safe, subdued pre-wedding brunch. However, things don’t always go as planned.
Analysis: It really wasn't until about three months before its release that Warner Brothers realised "The Hangover" was going to be a hit. Test screening response was through the roof, while the trailer had great reaction after premiering at ShoWest and online. About that time they commissioned director Todd Phillips, along with his "Old School" and "Road Trip" scribe Scot Armstrong, to pen a sequel. Yet they still waited to see how the first one went before fully committing to the follow-up.
The wait didn't last long.
