Elle Fanning, who was last seen in Maleficent, will be starring in an adaptation of Jennifer Niven’s young adult novel, All The Bright Places.
The novel will hit stores on January 6, 2015, but the story has already been optioned by Hollywood producers Paula Mazur and Mitchell Kaplan, amongst huge advanced buzz.
Fanning will play Violet Markey, a precocious High Schooler who remains optimistic about the future, even in the wake of her sister’s death. Her character will fatefully meet Theodore Finch, a misanthrope obsessed with the idea of killing himself.
What follows is a unique and inseparable bond and a promise – stop counting the days and start living them. The pair finds they can truly express themselves when they’re with each other. But how long will their time together last?
