Eric Evans(XXVII)
- Actor
Eric Evans is a versatile actor and writer based in Los Angeles, California. Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, they began doing professional theatre at twelve years old. Working consistently in professional theatre throughout middle and high school (where they starred in the title role of Hamlet as a freshman at the age of fourteen), they cut their teeth in front of a live audience. During their teen years, they starred in several award-winning short films and a handful of TV shows. Furthering their studies at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, they continued doing professional theatre while also juggling conservatory-style acting training. After a year at UArts, they were accepted to and attended the prestigious Moscow Art Theatre where they rigorously studied six days a week at the birthplace of Stanislavsky, Anton Chekhov, and the modern technique of acting itself. Following their studies abroad, they dropped out of college and hitch-hiked to Los Angeles to pursue acting full-time. Since moving to LA, they have appeared on Netflix, ABC, and Comedy Central, as well as two national commercials for Macy's and Chase Bank. Most recently, they starred in the short film Sheep Hills, which earned them a Best Acting Ensemble laurel at the Cannes Film Festival (2021), and played a supporting role in the meta-movie/video game trilogy Minsky, directed by BAFTA-winner Sam Barlow and Queen's Gambit creator Allan Scott. This project most recently won a BAFTA for Best Narrative (2022). While they're not acting, Eric is a fervent screenwriter, visual artist, cat enthusiast, and world traveler.
