At long last, the Kepner family tree is complete. Or at least it will be this fall when Grey’s Anatomy formally introduces April’s mother.
TVLine has learned exclusively that Connie Ray (The Big C, The Torkelsons) has been cast as the Kepner clan’s matriarch, Karen. This is technically a recast, since the character appeared briefly (sans dialogue) at April’s wedding to Jackson last season played by a different actress (the first person to ID said mystery actress in the comments wins a 20% off coupon to Bed Bath & Beyond).

The best part of a good drama isn’t necessarily when something completely unexpected happens, like the sudden death of a beloved character or a tragic break up of a couple that’s so obviously destined to be together. No, often times the best enjoyment can be found in a good old-fashioned moment of awkwardness. Grey’s Anatomy is skilled in many types of situations and will be showing us the optimal way to take advantage of the awkwardness of a break up in the upcoming Dec. 5 that will certainly leave Jackson feeling a heck of a lot worse than he already was.
Not only will Jackson have to deal with an uncomfortable situation, but also I imagine the scene that’s been shot (and pictured in this article) will leave viewers squirming in their seats just a tad. When I first saw the promo images for the episode and...

Question: Mike, Mike, Mike… What can you tell me about NCIS‘s 250th episode? —Marsha
Ausiello: Marha, Marsha, Marsha… I can tell you that someone from Gibbs’ past will resurface around the time of the CBS phenom’s landmark episode. Sources confirm to me exclusively that Susanna Thompson is set to reprise her role as Jethro’s ex, Hollis Mann, this January. And, show boss Gary Glasberg, teases: “She is coming back in an unexpected way.”

Cal (Tim Roth) is on the phone to his daughter, Emily (Hayley McFarland) and he realizes she's lying, when she tells him she's going to a sleep-over. Gillian (Kelli Williams) tells him she's at that age and she needs to have secrets. FBI agent Dardis (Anthony Ruivivar) contacts the firm to look into the murder of a judge's daughter. Judge Stark (Isabella Hofman) is a presidential appointee, so the case needs to be handled carefully. Yeah that's Dr Cal Lightman, really diplomatic and tactful! Ria (Monica Raymund) and Cal meet with the judge, using their obligatory video recording of their meetings. Cal asks for her happiest memory of her daughter, Danielle (Grace Bannon). The judge doesn't know what he means and thinks him insensitive. He then questions her about Danielle's death and how she felt, it being the worst day of her life. Knew the question was coming when she...

Dr. Cal Lightman (Tim Roth, "The Incredible Hulk," "Reservoir Dogs") can detect the truth by analyzing a person's face, body, voice and speech. When someone shrugs his shoulder, rotates his hand or raises his lower lip, Lightman knows he's lying. By analyzing facial expressions,...
