Round two of Grimmfest was another half day - the festival is packing everything into the weekend. As the day began, the Grimmfest crew was riding high off the first day reviews in the UK mainstream press for the launch of Some Guy Who Kills People, which their new venture Grimm Up North Entertainment is distributing (am I shilling that film too much? Following up his co-directing gig on last year's acclaimed rock documentary Lemmy, Greg Oliver is in post-production on his first solo feature film, a psychological horror film entitled Devoured. The first trailer for Devoured has been released, which you can check out here below.
The film stars Marta Milans as a single mother struggling to make ends meet by getting a job washing dishes in a restaurant where nothing is what it seems (or so the trailer would have us believe). She starts having unnerving visions, intense encounters, and it all builds to a "brilliant, shocking ending" (in the words of the trailer). It's a pretty basic horror trailer made solely to get early word out about the movie and it will likely come in handy when it's time to sell the movie to the general public.
