- 1943-1946. In addition to her work with RKO she also served as a private PA to Anna Neagle, with whom she remained in touch for many years.
- August 1944 - chosen to work for six weeks as PA to Samuel Goldwyn who was visiting the UK on behalf of East European refugees.
- 1946-1947 - while working as a Production Secretary on the Dickens adaptations at Cineguild, Vicky was also PA to David Lean and Ronald Neame.
- After leaving the film industry in 1947 she worked as a manuscript typist for novelist Winston Graham and a number of other writers.
- 1966 - joined the BBC as Secretary to Head of Radio Presentation David Lloyd James and his assistant Andrew Timothy. Subsequently she became PA to the BBC Head of Personnel Hugh Pearce.
- Her children include musician and agent Tony MacDonnell, actor Chris MacDonnell, actor Chris MacDonnell and editor John MacDonnell. Among her grandchildren are 1st A.D. Joanna MacDonnell, agent and former actress Sarah MacDonnell Her great grandchildren include actress Emily Carey.
