Yellow Veil Pictures and Vinegar Syndrome have released the hypnotic and beautifully meditative trailer for Riddle of Fire, a movie that was included in the lineup at last year’s Fantastic Fest and Midnight Madness at TIFF. The trailer plays like a fever dream as writer and director Weston Razooli takes you on a unique journey through the eyes of children as they make their way through the forest and encounter many threatening figures, which plays out like a dark fairy tale.
The official synopsis reads,
“This neo-fairytale set in Wyoming, USA follows three mischievous children as they embark on an odyssey when their mother asks them to run an errand. On the hunt to obtain her favourite blueberry pie, the children are kidnapped by poachers, battle a witch, outwit a huntsman, befriend a fairy, and bond together to become best friends forever.”

By about fourth year of university, I was more than a little sick of the psychological condition known to textbooks as prosopagnosia. Good thing then, that Julien Magnat has decided to cut out all the boring bits, rename it “face blindness” and give Milla Jovovich yet another memory problem.
After losing her memory in Resident Evil and, well, whatever the Hell happened in Fifth Element (it’s been so long!), Jovovich is set to lose her ability to distinguish between human faces in new thriller Faces in the Crowd (via Bloody Disgusting).
“The story centers on a woman (Jovovich) who barely survives an attack by a serial killer and wakes up in hospital with a head injury that leaves her “face-blind.” No longer able to recognize faces, she must navigate a world in which facial features change each time she loses sight of them. Here is the first international trailer for Milla Jovovich's new thriller Faces in the Crowd. The film was directed by Julien Magna, and also stars Julian McMahon, Michael Shanks, David Atrakchi, Sarah Wayne Callies and Marianne Faithful. The movie looks like it will be good, but it's something I think I can wait to watch on dvd.
Here's the Synopsis for the film:
The film chronicles the account of elementary school teacher Anna Marchant (Milla Jovovich), who is attacked by a serial killer known only as Tearjerk Jack and survives, but is left to struggle with a neurological disorder commonly referred to as face-blindness (prosopagnosia).
Only able to recognize voices, she fights to adapt to her diagnosis and the ever-changing faces of those around her. Working with Detective Kerrest (Julian McMahon), Anna races to identify her attacker. All the while the killer is closing in, determined to eliminate this potential witness.

Ready to dig upon the first trailer for the new psycho thriller from writer/director Julien Magnat, Faces in the Crowd? Yeah, we figured you would be. Who doesn't like kicking off their work week with a side of Milla Jovovich?

Synopsis
A serial killer has been terrorizing the city. An innocent bystander witnesses his latest attack, but while fleeing, she falls from a bridge and is knocked unconscious. When she awakes in the hospital, she can't recognize family, her boyfriend, or even her own face in the mirror. She is diagnosed with prosopagnosia, or 'face blindness'. This is a real neurological disorder, like dyslexia but with faces, caused by a lesion of the temporal lobe, the part of the brain that allows us in a...

Faces in the Crowd has a new official trailer, which shows more of actress Milla Jovovich and of serial killer Tearjerk Jack. In the clip, Milla as Anna Marchant suffers a fall which damages her brain. After recovery she experiences an impairment known as prosopagnosia.
This is a real life neurological deficit that affects the ventral stream of the temporal lobe. This is somewhat near the brain stem, or the lower portion of the brain. Usually, this impairment is caused by lesions in the brain suffered from a stroke, but it would not be hard to imagine a hard fall causing a hemorrage. Any blood on the brain then destroys any brain tissue. Thanks Psych' 337 (Human Perception).
Have a look at the clip below as Anna must face a serial killer. This is difficult for Anna when she is unable to recognize him!

Transporter 3by Eric Sloss, Writer Some movies you clearly have to leave your brain at the door before seeing them. There are things that are shown in these movies that are not humanly possible or probable for that matter. The Bond franchise is a good example of this type of filmmaking. The franchise more than makes up for it with a clever storylines, a strong male lead, beautiful women, exotic locales and memorable villains. The Transporter series can be looked upon in the same way. Fans have flocked to these movies mainly because of the ridiculous stunts and the charming Jason Statham. “Transporter 3” will clearly test the patience of even the most ardent of supporters. Jason Statham is back as Frank Martin. Martin transports cargo, whether it be human or otherwise, for a fee. He has certain rules that he follows. He doesn’t look to what he is transporting,...
