Emile Hirsch (Savages) and Holliday Grainger (TV’s The Borgias) play the notorious couple in 2013′s TV mini-series Bonnie & Clyde.
The show follows the legendary romance and crime spree of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. Bonnie’s obsession with fame pushes them to commit increasingly dangerous robberies, leaving behind them a trail of blood and headlines. They stayed ahead of authorities for a while, until their final showdown.
Oscar-winners Holly Hunter (The Piano) and William Hurt (Moby Dick) also star in the miniseries, which was directed by Bruce Beresford (Mao’s Last Dancer) on a script by Joe Batteer and John Rice, the team behind Windtalkers and TV movie Anna Nicole.
Bonnie & Clyde aired on History, Lifetime and A&E to mixed but generally positive reviews from critics. Miami Herald‘s Glenn Garvin called it a “perfectly entertaining gangster picture.
