Filmmaker Kevin Smith started his career by making a movie with his friends, and honestly, nothing's really changed. The prolific writer and director recently released his goodbye to the View Askewniverse, "Clerks III," and pulled out all of the stops bringing his famous (and not-so-famous) friends together for one last hurrah.
There are so many cameos in "Clerks III" that it's almost difficult to determine what's a cameo and what's simply someone reprising a role from one of the other Askewniverse films, but that's honestly part of the fun. Denver Comic-Con goers are in for a treat this year, as the cast of 1985 sci-fi favourite Weird Science are reuniting for a special panel.
Film stars Anthony Michael Hall and Ilan Mitchell-Smith will be among the stars in attendance for the event on Saturday, May 23.
Also planned for the event is an elaborate opening ceremony and the 'Cosplay Shindig' contest.
Dcc 2015 will also feature the event's first wedding, with the bride and groom due to be married dressed as Game of Thrones' Daenerys Targaryen and Batman.
Dcc director of programming and Pcc chairman Bruce MacIntosh said: "This year Dcc has a very celebratory feel about it. We're kicking everything off with a huge party on Friday night, and continuing the festivities all throughout the holiday weekend."
It was announced back in 2013 that Weird Science is to be remade by Universal Pictures.
