Film Southasia, Festival of South Asian Documentaries has announced its selection for 2013 edition. Fifteen Indian documentaries will be screened at the festival that will take place from 3-6 October in Kathmandu, Nepal. Film Southasia (Fsa) is a biennial festival that was set up in 1997 with the goal of popularizing the documentary.

The 6th International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala has unveiled its lineup for the 2013 edition which will be held from June 7-11 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
The festival is organized by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, in addition to the International Film Festival of Kerala (Iffk). The festival has a National level competition for Documentaries (long and short), short fiction, animation, music videos and campus films. The Best Short Fiction (upto 69 mins) wins a cash prize of Rs. 50,000/ and a certificate. Best Animation wins a cash prize of Rs. 25,000/ and a certificate while the Best Music Video is also awarded a cash prize of Rs. 25,000/ and a certificate.

Shores Of Silence (Eng/2000/24mins) by Mike Pandey will be the opening film of the festival. The other films that will be screened at the festival are First Period by Aditi Banerjee, Index by Bhardwaj Sundar, Do You? by Sanyog Mohite, Superhero by Nitin Das, Strangler Fig by David Attenborough, 300 Years of Fossil Fuel by Richard Hiegnberg, This Mug for Hire by Robinder Uppal, Indian Mrityulok Series by Aditya Pundir, The Wild Meat Trail by Rita Banerji and Shilpi Sharma, Miracle Water Village by Rintu Thomas and Sushmit Ghosh and The Mountain by Terjes Sorgjerd.
Apart from the screening of films, there will be 10-minute talks focusing on environment, sustainability and awareness on climate change.

New Delhi, Oct 22 – Two Indian wildlife films ‘The Pack: Episode 5′ and ‘The Wild Meat Trail’ have bagged Panda awards at the Wildscreen film festival in Bristol.
Mysore-based duo Krupakar-Senani’s ‘The Pack: Episode 5′, about the secret lives of Asiatic wild dogs in the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve of Southern India, won the award in the Animal Behaviour category.
While Delhi-based directors Rita Banerji and Shilpi Sharma’s ‘The Wild Meat Trail’, which portrays community and individual.
