Prisoners at British jail Wormwood Scrubs will star in an ITV reality TV show, according to the Daily Star.
Producers will follow the lives of both guards and inmates and document what happens during a prison riot and how the men make deadly weapons out of items such a toothbrushes. The show will also focus on drug use of inmates and the number of dealers who exist inside.
Prison governor Phil Taylor said: “A lot of our prisoners are illiterate or innumerate, some have never worked in their lives, some have been criminals from a very young age, and they are really damaged and difficult people to work with.
“All the more reason why we should work with them.”
Wormwood Scrubs starts May 10 on ITV1 9pm.
