- With St Louis fans upset over Mike Martz's decision not to offer Ricky Proehl a contract as a Ram in spring of 2003. Days following; a sign could be seen by millions, right behind the ring during a "WWE Monday Night Raw" episode live on Viacom's cable network "Spike TV". The black and white sign clearly read "MARTZ FEARS PROEHL". Reportedly someone from Rams front office was watching the show on Spike, called WWE & Savvis Center officials in St Louis (where the show was taking place) and had the sign removed. This only caused more bad PR for the Rams the next day via St Louis local radio shows and ESPN's "Pardon the Interuption".
- When playing for the Rams in Super Bowl 36; Proehl tied the game with a catch and run with just over a minute left and was approached by Disney for their infamous post game commercial before the Patriots came back to win with no time left.
