Going into the finale of "The Taste" Season 2, Ludo Lefebvre had three team members left -- Marina Chung, Jeff Kawakami and Louise Leonard -- to one cook on Anthony Bourdain's team, Lee Knoeppel. The other two chefs had no contestants remaining.
For the semifinal challenge, international chef Jacques Pépin was there to judge. Each chef prepared a "poor dish" and a "rich dish," which made for quite the contrasting ingredients. Pépin put through Marina, Louise and Lee, leaving Jeff eliminated before the finals.
The final challenge was a "Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner" challenge -- three mouthfuls, one each for each meal of the day. With Chef Pépin helping them in the kitchen!
Marina made English muffin with quail egg, a pork belly and oyster spring roll and short ribs with kale for her three stages. Louise chose a fried quail egg, fried oyster po' boy and steak with red wine sauce and mushrooms.

“It’s like I have an amputated arm squirting blood all over the place, and you’re saying ‘At least it’s not cancer!’” –Anthony Bourdain after a fellow judge gently pointed out that a vegan cupcake had tasted dry

We were so disappointed that Zero Hour wasn’t given more time to gain an audience, but at least were pleased when ABC announced that the entire first season would air this summer, including the first three episodes that aired in the winter.
Happily, ABC has now paired those episodes with unaired episodes from another gone-too-soon show from earlier this season, 666 Park Avenue, according to Deadline. As you know from the SciFiMafia.com Spring and Summer Primetime TV Schedule and the SciFiMafia.com Calendar, Zero Hour premieres Saturday, June 15 at 8/7c. 666 Park Avenue will join Zero Hour on June 22, following it at 9/8c and continuing weekly for three more weeks.
Excellent news, I’m So looking forward to summer Saturdays, these were great shows; thanks to ABC for airing the rest of the episodes.

"666 Park Avenue" was one of the biggest disappointments of the last TV season - both for viewers story-wise and for ABC ratings-wise. But fans of the show will finally have some closure when the network begins airing the remaining four episodes on Saturday, June 22nd.
Per TVLine the ill-fated spooker, which ABC pulled from the schedule following its December 2, 2012 broadcast, will reward loyal viewers with a finale on July 13. Speaking with the site recently, series star Rachael Taylor gave the final episode two very enthusiastic thumbs up, saying, “I love the ending. Everything gets completely flipped on its head, and it was very fun for me to play. My character is very different in the last episode. I’m really looking forward to people seeing the end, because shit gets crazy.”
Synopsis:

Fans of ABC's cancelled series "666 Park Avenue" are going to now have a much longer wait before achieving any sort of closure as the network has suspended broadcasts of the show until the summer of 2013.
According to TVLine, instead of beginning to air the remaining episodes of "666" next month as originally announced, unaired installments won't arrive until the warmer months. Look for the exact dates soon.
“666 Park Avenue” stars Rachael Taylor (“Charlie’s Angels,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” Transformers) as Jane Van Veen, Dave Annable (“Brothers & Sisters,” “Reunion”) as Henry Martin, Robert Buckley (“One Tree Hill,” “Lipstick Jungle”) as Brian Leonard, Mercedes Masöhn (“The Finder,” “Chuck,” “Three Rivers”) as Louise Leonard, Helena Mattsson (Iron Man 2, “Nikita,” “Desperate Housewives”) as Alexis Blume, and Samantha Logan as Nona Clark, with Vanessa Williams (“Desperate Housewives,” “Ugly Betty,” Shaft, Soul Food) as Olivia Doran and Terry O’Quinn (“Lost,” “Millennium,” “Hawaii Five-0,” “Alias,” “The West Wing,...

Despite the show's recent cancellation, fans of "666 Park Avenue" should still receive some closure when the series ends its run on ABC as executive producers David Wilcox and Matt Miller promise they are "building to a powerful and surprising series finale."
Wilcox and Miller told TVLine they were given enough time to turn their swan song into a series finale, adding, "We hope fans of the show continue watching all the way to the end of Jane and Henry’s incredible journey to the dark side... where all your questions will be answered.”
As luck would have it, DVR data released last week showed the ratings for the thriller’s November 4 episode spiking a staggering 77 percent — raising hopes that ABC might un-ring the cancellation bell. The news prompted leading man Dave Annable to vent on Twitter that ABC “f—ed up” by axing the series. But it’s a decision...

Despite its People's Choice Awards 2013 nomination for "Favorite New TV Drama" and ABC recently ordering a few more scripts for the series, the network officially gave "666 Park Avenue" the axe today.
Per Deadline, the plan seems to be for the series’ original 13-episode order to play out the way things did last season for "Pan Am" with ABC not shutting the door on the show completely, technically keeping it in consideration for next season, although we have to think such a scenario is highly unlikely given the low ratings "666" has received.
In the meantime we'll keep our eyes on the situation and let you know if anything changes.

We've been sporadic at best with our coverage of ABC's "666 Park Avenue," mainly because we didn't think it'd last long given its low ratings. In any event, here's a look at the show's upcoming guest star Whoopi Goldberg in character from Episode 1.09, "Hypnos."
"666 Park Avenue" - Episode 1.09 - "Hypnos" (12/2/12 airdate):
Jane is sent back in time when she is hypnotized by Maris Elder (Whoopi Goldberg); Henry considers running for city council; Sasha's identity is revealed.
Executive producer David Wilcox told TV Guide, Elder is "a mysterious resident of the Drake who helps Jane unlock the secret of the building's true evil origins. Whoopi's an incredible actor so when we heard that she was a horror fan, we wrote the role for her."

The ABC Network is showing a tremendous amount of faith in its devilish new horror show "666 Park Avenue," as it has ordered two more scripts for the series despite it tanking like a lead balloon in the ratings.
Synopsis:
At the ominous address of 666 Park Avenue, anything you desire can be yours. Everyone has needs, desires, and ambition. For the residents of The Drake, these will all be met, courtesy of the building’s mysterious owner, Gavin Doran. But every Faustian contract comes with a price. When Jane Van Veen and Henry Martin, an idealistic young couple from the Midwest, are offered the opportunity to manage the historic building, they not only fall prey to the machinations of Doran and his mysterious wife, Olivia, but unwittingly begin to experience the shadowy, supernatural forces within the building that imprison and endanger the lives of the residents inside. Now that the "666 Park Avenue" pilot has aired, we're looking forward to really getting into the meat of what the heck is going on behind the walls of The Drake, and this sneak peek of Episode 1.02, "Murmuration," reveals a bit more via a clip in which Jane makes a rather disturbing discovery.
"666 Park Avenue" - Episode 1.02 - "Murmurations" (10/7/12 airdate):
Jane makes a terrifying discovery about what lies behind the walls of The Drake as she begins to renovate Mr. Barlow's apartment. Meanwhile, Henry wrestles with whether he should tip Gavin off to inside information he has on one of his big projects, and lonely Drake resident Danielle Vincent gets a much needed assist from Gavin with a romantic tryst with a business associate of his. Finally, Brian struggles with his continuing temptation for Alexis, and Jane determines to continue her investigation of the mysterious door in the basement.

Welcome to The Drake, aka 666 Park Avenue, where all of your dreams can come true... for a price. And for ABC, their dream is for viewers to catch on to this new glossy supernatural sudser, which is a very valid wish indeed since the show is extremely worthy for an extended stay on the Alphabet network's schedule.
Loosely based (and we do mean loosely) on the 2008 novel by Gabriella Pierce, ABC's adaptation of 666 Park Avenue centers around a young couple, Henry Martin (Dave Annable) and Jane Van Veen (Rachael Taylor), who have just secured a new job as the building managers of The Drake, an apartment building in the Upper East Side owned by Gavin Doran (Terry O' Quinn) and his wife, Olivia (Vanessa Williams). Chicago – It is far from the new TV season’s most creative or engaging show (both “Last Resort” and “Vegas” are notably better) but there’s something about ABC’s “666 Park Avenue,” debuting tonight, that could make it the year’s most delightful guilty pleasure. And it’s such a perfect fit with the relocated “Revenge” and “Once Upon a Time.” Betrayal, fantasy, and the supernatural — “666 Park Avenue” could make for a great way to start your week.

Sexy, scary, and insanely addictive, 666 Park Avenue is the perfect hour of television to fill the gap left by Desperate Housewives. Based on the book series by Gabrielle Price, 666 Park Avenue is a mystery infused take on the tried and true 'Good vs Evil' trope, managing to elevate its interpretation to decadently mature levels. It would be hard to imagine 666 making it to television without the success of American Horror Story to illustrate how big the horror niche had become amongst TV viewers, but Park Avenue gives a take that is far more mainstream, and a bit more 'adult' in its narrative, both in terms of maturity and ... you know. 666 Park Avenue is my personal favorite new show of the season (though I haven’t seen Arrow yet) and I hope you’ll love it too. Horror on TV has never been hotter, and everyone is scrambling to find the next big scary thing. Writer David Wilcox, who's worked on "Law & Order," ABC's "Life on Mars," and Fox's "Fringe," recently talked about how latest project, "666 Park Avenue", relates to the book and lots more.

The network has about as many new shows as returning ones (if you count all the midseasons), and a good percentage of the returning offerings are a year old or less, making this look a bit like a rebuilding year.
Not only is it a rebuilding year, but it’s the year of bringing back every actor and actress who ever had a decent run on a show before. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a network’s new season slate that was so crammed with people returning from something else. If you can’t make it good, I suppose, make sure viewers recognize the faces.
It’s tricky to get a solid feel...

Yesterday was ABC‘s turn for upfront presentations, which meant that yesterday morning the network released its fall schedule and more detailed information about its new 2012-2013 series. We’ve been watching the development of 666 Park Avenue starring Terry O’Quinn for some time now, and had been keeping an eye on the alien comedy The Neighbors, but we got a wonderful surprise today when we saw the full description of midseason (meaning 2013) series Zero Hour starring Anthony Edwards.
We had been told that he played a skeptic whose wife gets abducted, but happily, as we found today, he is a “confessed paranormal junkie” and that he will be running ”a breathless race against the clock to find his wife and save humanity.” Ooo, save humanity! It’s also said to be a DaVinci Code-type hunt with ancient clues. What sealed it for me was the trailer, which we have for you.

666 Park Avenue: First Look at ABC's New Supernatural Drama
666 Park Avenue may not be an address most people want to have, particularly since residence at this particular address comes with a price.
The Drake is run by the building’s mysterious owner, Gavin Doran (Terry O’Quinn), and his wife, Olivia (Vanessa Williams). Anything a resident desires will be granted by Gavin. Enter Jane Van Veen (Rachael Taylor) and Henry Martin (Dave Annable), a young couple from the Midwest who are given the opportunity to manage The Drake. Immediately, they’re sucked into the spells weaved by Gavin and Olivia, and soon fall prey to the supernatural forces that reside within The Drake and imprison the residents’ lives.
666 Park Avenue stars Rachael Taylor (“Charlie’s Angels,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” Transformers) as Jane Van Veen, Dave Annable (“Brothers & Sisters,” “Reunion”) as Henry Martin, Robert Buckley (“One Tree Hill,” “Lipstick Jungle”) as Brian Leonard,...
