Nancy Drew Episode 15
“The Terror of Horseshoe Bay” is Nancy Drew at its best and most entertaining, featuring pretty much everything that makes the show so much fun to watch. There’s another ridiculous town festival, a shocking murder revelation, a group summoning of a possibly demonic water spirit, and some grotesque body horror, all with a little bit of romance on top. Ace’s amazing dad even makes a return appearance. What’s not to love?
As its first season has gone on, Nancy Drew has become increasingly adept at mixing its creepier supernatural elements in with its real-life drama, and this episode finds what feels like a perfect balance between the two. Of course, a near-death experience at the hands of a vengeful sea spirit would be the reason that the long-awaited hook-up between Nancy and Owen Marvin finally happens. Obviously, the...

The CW is launching two new dramas this fall, and the young-skewing network has just unveiled posters for both.
We'll start with Nancy Drew because who doesn't love a good mystery?
Well, that's what the official key art is trying to imply.
"Everyone loves a good mystery," is what the poster says, and it makes a great point.
"Nancy Drew (Kennedy McMann) is a brilliant teenaged detective whose sense of self had come from solving mysteries in her hometown of Horseshoe Bay, Maine – until her mother’s untimely death derails Nancy’s college plans," reads the official description for the series.

In the spirit of Riverdale, The CW’s new take on the classic Nancy Drew is darker, more supernatural and little sexier than the teen sleuth that we are used to. Comic-Con fangirls and fanboys were treated to a sneak peek at the pilot episode of the new series from showrunner Melinda Hsu-Taylor as well as executive producers Noga Landau and Stephanie Savage which was a spooky hybrid of Veronica Mars and Charmed. The trio was on hand in Ballroom 20 at San Diego along with the new Nancy Drew Kennedy McMann as well as series stars Leah Lewis, Maddison Jaizani, Alex Saxon and Tunji Kasim to talk about this new take on a Ya classic.
Hsu-Taylor points out that she did read the original series and connected with the character but wanted to diversify the cast for the new iteration. Yes, the Nancy remains white,...

The kids of Riverdale have some competition.
The CW today unveiled the official trailer for Nancy Drew, and we're starting to see why it was paired with Riverdale.
It looks fairly similar in tone and look to the show that will be leading into it in the fall, and that's a good thing.
Darky, sexy mysteries are The CW's holy grail, and the first trailer for Nancy Drew is heavy on all of the good things.
What's the reboot about, you ask?
