At the age of fifteen, Michael was invited by a friend to come and visit the after-school drama club at a neighbouring secondary school. Helping his friend out with an audition piece by joining in on some improvisation, the casting director was so impressed, she cast Michael on the spot for a small part in their current production, Guys and Dolls, as one of the thugs. With the acting bug taking a firm hold, Michael changed subjects at school and didn't look back. A member of the National Youth Theatre in his teens, he gained acceptance to The Arden School of Theatre in Manchester, England at the age of 19, graduating in 2000. Over the years he has enjoyed varied and exciting roles across theatre, film and radio, most notably writing, directing and starring in his solo feature film outing, "The List" (which he shot entirely on his own). Michael joined the online Scriptwriters & Co. Acting Troupe in 2020 and appears regularly in their Scratch Nights, playing many various characters such as murderers, disciples, hobos and superheroes to name but a few!
