He was recognized by The Sporting News as one of the their Good Guys in
1999.
Spoke at the World Asthma Day event at Love Park to raise awareness for
asthma related illnesses.
At the start of the 2006 NFL season, He was placed on the injured
reserve list with a right shoulder injury which will keep him out for
the year.
In 1995 He contributed $100,000 to Eagles Youth Partnership to finance
the Eagles Eye Mobile, a mobile unit giving free eye examinations to
underserved youth in the Philadelphia region.
The shoulder injury limited him to only 11 appearances and eight starts
last season for The New Orleans Saints. On October 14th, 2006, He
announced his retirement from the NFL.
