Director Dean Parisot's 1999 sci-fi comedy Galaxy Quest was a hell of a film. I love that movie, and over the years we've heard some talk of a sequel but nothing has ever materialized from that talk. The talking continues, but it's from all of the main players involved, and they all want to see a sequel happen.
MTV recently did an oral history of the film, and several members of the cast and crew came in to talk about the film. Those people included Tim Allen, Sigourney Allen, Sam Rockwell, Justin Long, director Dean Parisot, producer Mark Johnson, and writer Robert Gordon.
You've got to remember that this movie was ahead of its time, and it was made in an era where geek culture wasn't as popular as it is now. At that time San Diego Comic-Con wasn't the huge popular convention that it is now. I think a sequel would do extremely now,...
