“Love Is Blind” contestant Tran Dang is suing production companies Kinetic Content and Delirium TV, claiming she was sexually assaulted by her former fiancé Thomas Smith during the filming of Season 5, which is the most recent season of the Netflix series. The pair got engaged during the season, but have not been featured in the episodes. Dang also alleges false imprisonment and negligence.
Kinetic Content and Delirium TV denied the claims in a joint statement after Variety obtained the lawsuit.
“We support and stand with victims of sexual assault, but Ms. Dang’s claims against the producers are meritless. We document the independent choices of adults who volunteer to participate in a social experiment. Their journey is not scripted, nor is it filmed around the clock. We have no knowledge or control over what occurs in private living spaces when not filming, and participants may choose to end their journey at any time,...

“Love Is Blind” series creator Chris Coelen vehemently denies allegations from former cast members who say they were isolated, had their mental health concerns ignored and were provided with excessive alcohol, calling the claims “insulting.”
Coelen responded to the slew of accusations against the Netflix reality dating series in an interview with Variety, in which he called claims against the “disrespectful to anyone who’s participated.”
One of the first former participants to level allegations was Season 2 contestant Danielle Ruhl, who claimed the series failed to provide adequate mental health support in an Insider report. Ruhl, who married Nick Thompson from the show, alleged that she was cast despite the production team being aware of past suicidal ideations — which Coelen denied, saying in the interview that “unfortunately she didn’t disclose this before filming.”

When “Love Is Blind” made its debut on Netflix in 2020, the series introduced a completely new way for people to find love, without all the rules of usual dating. On the show, the single contestants begin dating individuals through a wall, unable to see what the person on the other side looks like. Throughout the process, they can’t meet until they get engaged. Those who do then come face to face, move in together and decide whether they want to go through with their commitment.
In 2022, Season 2 participant Jeremy Hartwell sued Netflix and production company Kinetic Content, citing “inhumane working conditions.” A year later, Season 2’s Nick Thompson and Danielle Ruhl alleged a lack of mental health support in a report by Insider.
While Kinetic Content has broadly denied the allegations from both the lawsuit and the report, its CEO Chris Coelen is exclusively responding in detail for the first time to Variety,...

Before signing up for Love is Blind, things were going relatively well for marketing executive Nick Thompson. The 36-year-old was the oldest contestant on the show’s second season but walked away seemingly a winner. Thompson found love, but since his time on the Netflix reality series, he’s lost his love (maybe), fallen on hard financial times, and lost his job. Thompson has become an advocate for reality TV stars, arguing that the genre exploits people. He even once said the series ruined his life.
Nick Thompson said ‘Love is Blind’ has made it difficult for him to find a new job
When Nick Thompson joined the cast of Love is Blind, he was a vice president of product marketing. According to his LinkedIn profile, he had spent years climbing the corporate ladder at various technology and software companies. He bought a home and was living a pretty successful life.

The contents of a letter purportedly written by Meghan Markle and sent to King Charles III — in which she identified a “senior” royal who expressed “concerns” about the colour of her son, Archie’s, skin — found their way into a U.K. newspaper and sent royal correspondents into a frenzy, culminating with accusations Meghan leaked the letter. But a rep for the Duchess of Sussex tells Et that such a suggestion is “false and frankly ridiculous.”
The royal drama unfolded after The Telegraph on Friday night posted a story claiming Charles, 74, wrote to Meghan, 41, expressing his sorrow over the family tension following her and Prince Harry’s March 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which she revealed that there were “concerns and conversations about how dark [Archie’s] skin might be when he’s born.” The outlet reported that Meghan wrote back to the then-Prince of Wales, who was the only senior...

When "Love Is Blind" contestant Kyle Abrams dubbed the season two reunion a "train wreck" on Instagram, fans could tell they were in for a bumpy ride. The explosive reunion special featured updates from the cast, including the two couples who exchanged "I dos" during the season finale, as well as a fiery rant from Shake Chatterjee regarding his views on physical attraction and how he believes love is "blurry," not blind.

Season 2’s Deepti Vempati, Danielle Ruhl-Thompson and Iyanna Jones (née McNeely) became “honorary bridesmaids” — while Nick Thompson, Jarrette Jones and Salvador Perez were “honorary groomsmen.” Nick and Vanessa Lachey also sent their best wishes and wedding day gifts.
Everyone’s favorite Season 1 power-couple, Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton, officiated the ceremony.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched the finale of “Love Is Blind” Season 2, streaming now on Netflix.
And then there were two. The final episode of “Love Is Blind” dropped on Friday, showing all five weddings and revealing that only two couples said “I do.” Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson tied the knot during an outside, very hot wedding that left viewers on the edge of their seats during the penultimate episode, while the finale wrapped with Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones as a married couple.
Unfortunately, those were the only two couples that chose to actually go through with their weddings. Deepti Vempati said no, telling Shake Chatterjee that she deserved someone who wanted her 100%, leaving him at the altar. Natalie Lee shocked Shayne Jansen by saying that while he’s her best friend, she couldn’t get past their fight the night before. Lastly,...

The “Love Is Blind” cast is getting back together. On Friday, March 4, Netflix will debut season 2 the reunion special, during which some of the contestants will reunite to look back at their time on the show and share where they stand with their partner now. Nick and Vanessa Lachey will return as hosts.
Season 2 followed the engagements of six couples: Deepti Vempati and Shake Chatterjee; Natalie Lee and Shayne Jansen; Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson; Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones; Shaina Hurley and Kyle Abrams; and Mallory Zapata and Sal Perez.
Five of the couples made it to the altar. Hurley, who made a connection with Jansen in the pods, called things off with Abrams shortly after they met in person.
Two other couples also got engaged in the pods — Jason Beaumont and Kara Williams, and Joey Miller and Caitlin McKee — but cameras didn’t follow their journeys due to time and resource constraints.
