What, exactly, was Albert Einstein’s involvement in the creation of the atomic bomb — and how did the world’s most famous physicist grapple with the morality of that work? The existential threat posed by nuclear weapons has resurfaced in popular culture in large part due to Christopher Nolan’s Oscar-nominated Oppenheimer, in which Einstein (played by Tom Conti) is depicted advising J. Robert Oppenheimer, the physicist who played a pivotal role in the development of atomic weapons.
In reality Oppenheimer and Einstein likely only met a few times — their relationship has been described as “cordial and complicated” — and, ultimately, Einstein’s contributions to Oppenheimer’s work were theoretical and indirect. However, the foundation of Einstein’s work undeniably influenced all scientists’ understanding of physics moving forward, and those foundations are explored in Einstein and the Bomb, a new docudrama from director Anthony Philipson. Spoiler Alert: Do not keep reading if you have not finished Season 5 of “The Last Kingdom.”
“The Last Kingdom” is coming to an end.
Although a two-hour movie followup is currently filming, Season 5 of the Netflix historical drama wraps up the story of its central character, Uhtred of Bebbanburg, played by Alexander Dreymon, in a very satisfying way — as the sins of Uhtred’s past collide head on with his present and the future of England.
Uhtred finds himself in an unusual place at the beginning of the season — unable to be with Aethelflaed (Millie Brady), the woman he loves and the Lady of Merica, he presides over a Mercian border town at her request. But strange things are in the air, as Brida (Emily Cox) is determined to have her vengeance once and for all and the enemies of the House of Wessex are gathering.

Wtfn also recently produced eight-part “Code 1: Minute by Minute” sister show, also for Seven. Each episode tells the story of a single crime incident, including one covering the 2017 Bourke Street Mall tragedy in Melbourne, when a man murdered six people by deliberately ramming his car into a busy shopping mall. – Patrick Frater...

Amazon tracked English soccer club Manchester City in an earlier “All or Nothing” series, and has also had a Leeds United documentary. The new show will be an Amazon original and will launch on its streaming platform around the world. Jame Bond author Anthony Horowitz has cast the lead roles in his new BBC One crime drama New Blood.
No Offence actor Ben Tavassoli and The Mill's Mark Strepan will take on the lead roles of junior investigators Rash and Stefan.
Apparently, it'll be the first time that the Serious Fraud Office and police have worked together on screen, as the two are brought together by a link between two seemingly unrelated cases.
The crime-solving duo will come up against rich and powerful individuals, corporations and governments that are protected by an army of lawyers.
Anthony Horowitz said: "When I created a hero who was Polish/British and another who was Iranian/British, I never expected that we'd actually find the real thing but with Mark and Ben we've done exactly that.
"They really are the 'new blood' that the title promises and I'm confident that they're going to...
