The theme for this year’s B-Movie, Underground and Trash Film Festival, held in the city of Breda in the Netherlands, is “Apocalypse.” So get ready to watch the world end dozens of different ways on Sept. 5-9 at various venues around the city.
The fun kicks off on the 5th with the German movie Hell by director Tim Fehlbaum. If you didn’t know, “hell” means “bright” in German and, given that title, this flick is set appropriately in a post-apocalyptic future where global warming has decimated the planet and surviving tribes battle for water and food.
Other post-apocalyptic visions include Milan Konjevic’s Zone of the Dead starring legendary zombie killer Ken Foree; Davi de Oliveira Pinheiro’s Bazillian underground hit Beyond the Grave about a world where magic and madness rule the world; and Rob van Eyck’s bizarrely twisted Afterman and Afterman 2.

This one, I think, is strictly for the Troma set. If you have an aversion to no-budget motion pictures centered around sex, violence, and crude dialogue, go ahead and fix yourself a sandwich while the rest of us feast our degenerate little eyes upon the trailer for writer/director Lance Polland’s “Crack Whore”. The movie itself looks like something advertised in the classifieds section of Fangoria back in the late-80′s/early-90′s, though this may explain why I’m sort of interested in checking it out. The reckless, go-for-broke attitude appeals to the morbid, acne-scarred teenager in my soul. Like I said, if low-budget garbage isn’t your thing, please find something else to watch. Don’t say that I didn’t warn your beforehand. Before proceeding, check out this synopsis: The story of a Crack addicted prostitute named Honey. A girl who goes to a party out...

What grabs you about a movie? Sometimes it's a kick-ass trailer that simply blows you away with awesome imagery and a peek into an amazing story. Sometimes it's the poster, a simple one-sheet that ropes you in, like the iconic Jaws poster or some of the creative shots for the Saw films. But sometimes all it takes is the title. That's definitely the case in Lance Polland's new film, Crack Whore.
There's not much that needs to be said after that title. You know it's going to be a hot mess of violence, blood and debauchery with a title like Crack Whore, and Polland assures us that's exactly what he delivers.
The veteran of such films as Bloody Bloody Bible Camp (featuring everyone's favorite hedgehog Ron Jeremy) and Slices, Polland has seen his share of blood and boobs. He is credited as writer and director on this project.

Producer Lance Polland dropped us a note to let us know that the first footage from Bloody Bible Camp has made its way online for you all to dig on! Whatcha waitin' for? Christ doesn't have all day!
The film stars 2001 Maniacs director Tim Sullivan as Sister Mary Chopper, a killer transvestite nun (talk about having us at hello). Said Sullivan of the project, "Vito Tribuco’s horror comedy Bloody Bloody Bible Camp, which Vito wrote with his partner Shelby McIntyre, is infused with the same splatstick soul as Field Of Screams. I knew I had to get involved the minute producers Reggie and Gigi Bannister rang me up and asked me to hop on board. Did I mention Reggie plays a priest with whom I do battle? Oh, yeah. And Ron Jeremy plays Jesus. It’s a total knock-out gore/comedy/boob fest that doesn’t just cross the...

McCurry Films and ZenWeasel Films recently announced that their joint production Slices, a horror anthology, is now finished. The new poster seen below was created by filmmaker/FX artist Marcus (100 Tears) Koch, and Lance Polland, one of the contributing filmmakers, gave Fango some info about the flick.
“Slices is in the vein of such movies as The Twilight Zone or the Creepshow series—five different stories, five different styles” he tells us before going on to detail the individual tales. “ ’The Exterminator,’ directed by Vito [B-movie: The Making Of Farmhouse Massacre] Trabucco, is very much in the style of Saw or Hostel. It centers on a big business CEO who gets kidnapped and tortured by one of his own henchmen. ‘The Range,’ which I directed, is a period piece set in the Old West. It features three Confederate soldiers on the run who come face to face with flesheating zombies.

We got some info in our inbox today about another new indie film you’ll be hearing a lot about soon called Slices. Instead of being a standard narrative, though, this one’s an anthology in the vein of Creepshow and Twilight Zone: The Movie.
In Slices, five directors will tell five different stories, including "The Exterminator", directed by Vito Trabucco, which is described as in the style of Saw or Hostel. It centers on a big business CEO who gets kidnapped and tortured by one of his own henchman. Then there's "The Range", directed by Lance Polland, a period piece set in the Old West. It features 3 Confederate Soldiers on the run who come face to face with flesh eating zombies. "Turnout", directed by Lenny Lenox, is about a young couple and their friend out hiking in the mountains when they start getting killed off by a madman. "Night...
