On June 21st, The Fallen Faithful will premiere at the Arclight Theatre in Hollywood, CA in front of a packed house. This premiere is the culmination of nearly three years of hard work by a variety people involved with the feature. Back in March 2008, this reporter wandered onto the set to find out more about this independent flick shooting in Tampa Bay. Working with a budget around a million dollars, producer P.J. Leonard briefly spoke with me about what he was looking to achieve with this production at the time. One statement in particular was...
"If this movie can get some attention, I want to continue shooting feature films in the Tampa Bay area."
Really? Wasn't the answer I was expecting to hear, but P.J. clearly has a passion about working in Florida. Which has been documented in past articles covering The Fallen Faithful journey thus far. P.J.

Two years ago, an independent film was quietly shooting in Tampa Bay under the title, The Fallen Faithful. Last Thursday, the people behind the flick decided to come back to Tampa to debut The Fallen Faithful, in the city they thoroughly enjoyed shooting in. The event in Channelside not only marked the world premiere of the flick, but all proceeds benefited the 1 Voice Foundation. That once quiet film is now on its way in making quite the impact on many fronts.
In tracking The Fallen Faithful since being on the set two years ago. I have met so many people involved with the project. A good portion of them reside in the area. Although many believed that this was just another indie flick shooting in Tampa. The culmination of the events this past week has given the local film industry a voice.

Although the Tampa landscape has been the setting for many independent flicks over the last few years. Fallen Faithful has a legit shot of getting picked up by a major studio for distribution. Having a seasoned cast along with a talented crew behind the camera has really paid off. The event...

On April 8th, The Fallen Faithful, a movie shot entirely in Tampa makes it debut right here at the Channelside theaters. The entire cast and crew are planning on making their way down here to be a part of the red-carpeted event benefiting 1 Voice Foundation. I had the privilege of speaking to Sonny Marinelli, the star of the flick, and he shared his insight on his role and his career, all in candid fashion.
His name may sound familiar and chances are one has seen his work, since he's been a part of many high profile productions in television and the silver screen. Marinelli's television credits include recurring roles on ER, NYPD Blue, and most recently Raising the Bar. In the realm of movies, Sonny has been in roles that play off his Italian heritage. He's been the wiseguy, even portraying the complex John Gotti in Boss of Bosses. Marinelli...

It's rare that a city outside of New York or L.A. has a movie premiere. Plus, just about all the cast and crew are expected to show and mingle with everyone. The Fallen Faithful has an accomplished cast that will surely help this independent flick get noticed. In a previous article, highlighted were rising-star Sonny Marinelli and veteran actor Mark Margolis. Also appearing in Fallen Faithful is Patrick Gallagher, who's currently on hit shows such as True Blood and the award-winning Glee.
